Good WRPGs are limited in number, so once you get past the good ones, it'll get worse gradually. Therefore the first claim is true.
JRPGs are an acquired flavor of shit, but if you ever get into it, the supply is infinite and as consuming them turns you weirder and weirder, you'll find even more outlandish shit to suit your new tastes. Therefore the second claim is ARGUABLY true, depending on how you see the semantics of it.

That particular level is not even a star puzzle just a regular one and introduces a mechanic for the first time 30 hours into the game for which gives no indication that it is possible such thing.
Wasted two days trying to figure it out only to find out that crossing the beams makes the level shift completely.
Fuck that.

I dropped Papers, Please recently because I realized I wasn't having any fun. It was alright for the first few "days" but eventually it got ridiculously tedious and the "drama" sparingly sprinkled in wasn't interesting enough to put up with it.

Fuck balance, throw it in the trash. 500 skill trees with 2000 abilities and they're all fucking nonsense. Half of them, when used together, break the game. I don't care if the warrior and rogue classes do similar damage. I don't care if the wizard is limited by a carefully measured resource pool that took longer to balance than actually making the spells did. I don't care.

Give me FUN. If it bothers you that much add a difficulty slider that scales to hilarity. Don't even fucking balance that just be like "Ya monsters just have 2,000% of their base stats at this difficulty".

More fun shit. Let players do things like own a shop or a farm or whatever, depends on the type of game of course.

Also give actual uses for gold. If you're coming back from a dungeon with 10,000 gold where as before you had 300, you don't want to find out it's practically useless aside from some potions you won't use anyway. Make gold fun, fuck balance. Cool spells.

A 1v4 game can't convince people they are playing a competive e-sport tier game. DLC and micropayments are bad. Pre order monster bonus discouraged late buyers. Expensive cost at release. Mixed reviews and reception.
