Budokai 3 was great at the time. It's not as good now as the story mode gets boring after the 9th playthrough, and that endgame shit isn't fun.
Imo, Shin Budokai and Another Road were the best Budokai games. Budokai 3's combat was boring in comparison, along with the story.

If you want another go download the iso and play it on an emulator.

I enjoyed the game even though I got bored after 80/100 hours of it
But the new DLC was shit
The new difficulty was accessible only by restarting the game
No new enemies, only one reskin
The master dungeon was fun but nothing that should have been made paid 20$
The other add ons were things that should have been in the base game and they felt really disconnected to the world they were in

I really have low hopes for the new dlc
We already know it will be one more dungeon and stop
I hope there will be new enemies at least

DMC3 is better purely as a technical combo simulator, yes. Cutscenes are great as well, and everyone wants to choke on Vergil's cock. DMC1 is a better game as a whole however. Better environments, atmosphere, music that isn't lyrical cancer, and actually aggressive enemies. Combat is entirely functional and nuanced and there is variety, no flying around at the speed of sound with some weak-ass pin-needle combos. Not every action game needs that shit, which is a common misconception going around. Some flaws like the camera at times, swimming segments that lasts all but 5 mins. and the inverted rail shooting.
