One person is selected as the host, with their machine acting as a dedicated server for the other clients.
Or, a virtual machine on one of Sony/Microsoft's millions of servers is created as a dedicated server for X group of players.
And it's all being pipelined through PSN/XBL's network to ensure traffic reliability & security.

A game being difficult does not make it good. This meme seriously needs to die.

I'll admit the latter is great of its own merits, but the first is just a mediocre rng fest that people only buy because "muh hardcore gamer difficulty". Both (even despite souls' merits) are soured by an autistic and elitist community of "hardcore gamers".
There is no reason difficulty shoudn't be optional, the game being difficult just leads to a shitty community and puts off certain demographics from purchasing the game.
There's nothing inherently wrong with difficulty, but you should be able to switch it on or off. A good example of difficulty is Halo LASO- its pretty darn hard, but you can opt in or opt out.

Any of you faggots played this? As someone who grew up on american power rangers, this shit is was like a really enjoyable fever dream as I started playing it. The game is a tactical RPG with studio management, as you are not actually a power ranger, you're a team of actors trying to film a power ranger show.
