The Odyssey direct will probably show off another kingdom, I'm expecting it to be one we already know about (Cap Kingdom, Dinosaur Kingdom or Luncheon Kingdom) but hopefully the game will have more than the 6 kingdoms we've already seen glimpses of.
As for the Metroid Direct, I'm honestly not expect any suprises. We already know what the four Aeion abilities are, we already know what pretty much all the suit upgrades will be, we know what the story of the game is since the original game came out 26 years ago, we know what all the Amiibo do. And if there are any post-game surprises like Zero Mission, I doubt they'll reveal them before the game releases. I'm struggling to think what they could even possibly mention in the Direct that isn't just repeating what we've known for a while now.

I always wonder this. I see some games on steam that look really fun to play but then look and see they have small as fuck player bases. Then I look at games like dota 2, pubg, CS:GO and see they have a fuck ton of players.
What exactly do the games with lots of people playing have that games with not a lot of people playing don't have?
For example, The game Lawbreakers is fun to me in a arena shooter sort of sense(Arena shooters seem to be dying in general I guess? Every single one has horrible player base. Why?).
What I want to know is.. what influences player base? I am sure there are games out there that are amazing but pitiful in player base. I am sure the opposite exists too. Games that might be shitty but have huge player bases.
It seems like new or original games often suffer in some way because people are just not sure? I have no idea.
In your opinion, does a games player base size influence if you play or not?

The entire last level was endless fighting, to the point where it wasn't fun at all and it ruined the rest of the game for me.
That and as >>387945118 says, the characters really aren't that good. I played Hong Kong before this and the characters in that were so much fucking better, plus it didn't turn into a massive slog at the end.

Hey /v/, I'm probably gonna get a PS4 for my birthday, and I'm looking for recommendations on what games to get with it. I'll likely get NieR: Tomato and one other; thinking about picking up a new JRPG.
>As for how far I go back: I haven't had a good enough system to play any new AAA games since Rise of the Tomb Raider, and I can get my fill of competitive multiplayer on my craptop, so please no CoD or Overwatch or anything like that.
I know Gravity Rush, Danganronpa and Persona 5 are all great games, and I'm thinking about picking from them, just wondering if there's anything I'm missing.
All advice is appreciated.
