So you can let everyone have a chance for once. MvC3 was great in that regard, it didn't exclusively showcast the X-men. It brought for F4 & Avengers reps, & even gave more obscure characters a time to shine, which is what I always liked about MvC, it introduced gave lesser known characters to a whole new audience. Be honest, did you really know who Marrow, Silver Samurai, hell even Omega Red was before MvC2 & other Mahvel titles? Yes I'm using X-men characters but that's my point, it showcasted some very obscure X-men characters to a whole new audience that otherwised would have not known them. Did the same with MvC3, but this time with Taskmaster, Rocket Raccoon, Nova, Iron Fist, hell, even MODOK. It became way more varied than MvC2 which is something I liked about it. Variety is something MvC always needed & always stood for. MvCi is the example of what happens when you take that away & play it safe.

Because Marvel was stupid enough to sell the movie rights of "the best characters Marvel ever created" to Fox and when the former finally tasted some cinematic success with their creation of the MCU they are now trying so hard to ostracize all items they don't have movie rights to in the hopes that they can get those intellectual properties back.
