It doesn't feel like anything until the realization that you have improved sets in. It's simply the culmination of your character's personal experiences gradually showing themselves through improvement and development as a person.

It's less "Oh hey, I suddenly feel more capable!" and more like a long term realization such as "Apparently I'm getting better at this! I guess the hard work paid off after all!" So it could feel like a sense of accomplishment, though it's likely to be subtle, if there's any real emotional response at all.

Give them a piece of paper and let them document there progress. I did a maze a few weeks ago and cut up pieces of paper to show them their options for movement and rearranged them every time the moved to go along with them maze. Mine was also underwater, but we had a Druid so that was a non factor

I should think most Gargantuan sized monsters can take a tank assuming they are generally immune to normal damage because it's not specified at all that the tank is in any way, shape, or form magical.

A bullete, for example could just dig underneath it and flip it over. A remorhazz could boil the people inside with fire. Various types of Golems could fight this thing no problem. Giants could rip the gun off and possibly pull the turret out since it's held in by Gravity. Rust bugs could just slowly eat the tank and expose the crew to danger. A jelly could engulf the tank and squeeze it's way inside and engulf the crew.

So in other words, a lot of things.

An armored and mounted knight could be equal to a tank. Armored, packs a punch, actually rather fast moving, requires special infantry equipment to kill, usually deployed in groups on the field.
