Here are the reasons.

1. They continue to push SJW propoganda. Example: The NFL warned Texas not to pass a "Keep men who dress like women out of womens bathrooms" bill or they would not host any future Superbowls.

2. Sports is a substitute for winning real victories yourself. So just like porn is a substitute for having real sex, sports allows you to feel victories done by strangers as if they were your own.

3. Sports is a substitute for nationalism. Instead of focusing on your country sports makes you focus your tribal instincts on a sports team. So you dont get mad at the state of your country or its corrupt ruling class or rival nations like China but its perfectly fine to get mad at the Patriots or Barcelona or the Cubs. Its a way of the Powers that Be channeling your tribalism into a safe harmless venue.

4. There was never a golden age of sports viewing where everything was perfect but there was a time before the internet and ESPN where every single bad thing a athlete did wasn't the top story. Sports is more about entertainment content these days so ESPN and other outlets are more like TMZ covering some athlete hitting his girlfriend or some athlete saying faggot or Sandusky raping a kid than the actual sport.

Why are inferior, trash clubs like Arsenal even allowed to compete in the Champions League?
