I follow baseball and football. I don't let it consume me. Sports is a meritocracy. I still manage to browse /pol/ daily. I also am able to keep up with the corruption and lies from our government.

This isn't necessarily about sports but about money in sports. I don't know what the options are for American sports but some of the best sporting moments I've witnessed have been the local mud-splattered team beating their rivals from one village over.

No cameras, no SJW bullshit, no forced apologies by sponsors, no vapid commentary, no generic boring media interviews. Genuine shit talking, genuine passion and love for the game.

I hear they're establishing a Pacific Pro Football league soon, maybe that can be a lot of help

as for the bread and circus aspect - people are monkeys, pure and simple. We need either sports or gladiator fights. It's not a distraction but a necessity

That's literally the exact opposite of what happens. Suburban neighborhoods have well funded and active police forces, that's why they're so safe. Some middle aged mom can call 9-11 when her cat's in a tree and the cops will show up in 5 minutes.

There's more crime in worse neighborhoods because they're too poor to give enough tax dollars to fund police departments. There are plenty of ghettos in the U.S. where police don't show up at all.

They did a study awhile back where they found in detroit's worse neighborhood you could call in a pizza and they'd get to your house faster than the police.
