In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium there is only war. Imperium of Man, once strong and proud, now is slowly crumbling, whole regions of space are lost to the horrors that lurk in the darkness of the void. Sector Deus is just one of the thousands of Imperial provinces that form the front line in the war to defend Humanity itself. Corruption from within and aggression from without threaten it. But the Emperor sends us hope. High Lords of Terra commissioned a Chapter of Adeptus Astartes, finest warriors Humanity has ever seen, to defend this region of space. They are the last line of defence that hold Age of Ruin at bay. They are the Ghosts of Retribution and this is their tale.

+About+
Chapter Quest is set in Warhammer 40k universe where players control a nameless Chapter Master, leader of the Ghosts of Retribution Chapter - an autonomous brotherhood of genetically engineered warriors tasked with protection of mankind.

This quest is a mixture of traditional role playing, resource management and grand strategy. Main narrative is driven by the players rather than QM and doesn't have a pre-set "main storyline". Original purpose of the game was to push the story of 40k past year 999.M41.

Welcome to From Pleb to Hero Quest! A not so magical adventure where the odds are stacked against you! Have Fun.

"The somewhat magical world of Betheros is in a state of uncertainty. The land was flooded for what for a long time many thought was an endless rain. Global Warming? Divine punishment? a strong spell from a wizard? Nobody knows for certainty the cause, but someone has to deal with the aftermath.

We’re 50 years after the Great Flood and things aren’t looking pretty. The small islands the world consists are in danger; it’s a constant fight between humans and monsters to populate these now isolates places and exterminate each other. How the world will fare in these troubles times? Will humanity find each other limbs and fight the monsters menace together? Or are they going to slowly succumb like they are doing right now? …

Sadly these are bigger problems than you can manage. You’re only a small actor in this play than what you would like to be. Your name is “Nora”, a 17 years old orphan girl who adventure called in an unexpected way. Born in the modest Island of “Aliheath”, who only consists of the big and somewhat prosper town of the same name; you lived with your best friend Gretchen’s family after your father basically dump you there and left forever, you were just a baby at the time, so you don’t remember him…

Well the local government does remember him and his debt! And guess who’s going to pay it! You!... There were only 2 ways to pay, sell everything Gretchen’s family had (and it wasn’t enough) or (what you ended up doing) go into a basically suicide mission to defeat a monster living in a dungeon close by."

You’re in a carriage lead by a mysterious man in a hood, it’s not well kept at all. He’s going to leave you pretty close to your destination. You were given a small dagger, really sub-par fighting clothes and 2 rations by the government to deal with something even the great heroes of Alitheath couldn’t defeat and you don’t even know how to fight! This is suicidal…

“Lady, we arrived.” The man up front tells you. “The dungeon is nearby… Good luck.”

What do you say?

>”Uhm… can you point me where?”
>”I don’t know how you can live with yourself leaving a poor girl like me to this deathtrap!”
>”Any tips you can give me before I go to my death?”

Hey /qst/! Been a while!
Usually i browse /b/ but i thought this time you guys here could give me some better answers so here i am!

I am playing through a D&D game currently, one of my characters is a sorcerer who was part of a airship crew but got lost from them, and in the future i hope to reconnect the party to the crew for services!
However this crew is going to be flaming game, sneezing glitter gay, Raining Dicks and Men gay, and so i need some gay sailor names to use so that all NPCs on board are fabulous and ready to go.

When i talked with the pc wizard himself, all he had was the captain of the ship Mr. Hancock and his brother donovan (they are black).

“So, what now?” James McClintock suggests. It seems like he's learning. As fantastic as he is as a pilot and a warrior, open battles like this aren't his bailiwick.

“WE RETURN TO OUR VESSEL. OUR ALLIES ARE SAFE, WE HAVE THE STRATEGIC EDGE, IF WE CAN FREE THE OTHERS WE WILL BE ABLE TO TURN THIS FIGHT COMPLETELY IN OUR FAVOR. SIMPLE TACTICS.” Wyatt replies.

“The Jovians have to know by now they're outnumbered. Even if we just keep their remaining mecha busy, it's 13-12 or so now, and our numbers are only going to go up, meaning some of us can focus on disabling the ship itself.” Grant reflects, rubbing the chin of his helmet.

The Pharcyde nods, “INDEED. THEY HAVE AN EDGE IN SHIP-TO-SHIP COMBAT AGAINST CIVILIAN TRANSPORTS, BUT WE HAVE THEM BEAT IN MECHA COMBAT BARRING TRULY UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES. IT'S A SITUATION THEY'RE UNFAMILIAR WITH, BEING BEATEN EVEN WHEN THEY STACK THE DECK...AND IT MIGHT MAKE THEM UNPREDICTABLE, KEEP YOUR GUARD UP.”

“Like the three mecha leaving their ship and making for our position.” McClintock notes, “Whew, they're...they're really coming right here.”

“They're moving together like a team, too.” Grant replies grimly, staring at the blinking contact icons on his sensors, as if willing them to move faster and come into focus.

“JUST THREE?” Wyatt Questions, and then a note neither of the others could have imagined enters his voice, “NO, IT CAN'T BE...”

[Meanwhile, back on the ship...]

You, your teacher, and Yi stand over the newly deceased Kimblee's body. You're aching all over from that last attack, and you can visibly see Yi breathing heavy. You don't know how long he was at this, but he seemed to be using a lot of energy to do it. You see Leah on the floor above you attempting to make her way down. You stand by to be rush over in case she falls, but she's able to make it on her own by sliding gently down one of the lower floor's pillars until reaching a collapsed section of the wall that leans against it to form a ramp. She joins the rest of you standing around Kimblee.

"This bastard..." Izumi groans, clutching her abdomen. "Went and died all self-assured. Didn't even give me a chance to tell him off for his stupid rant. For one thing, the homunculi's power comes from the lives of thousands of humans. It sure isn't their own."

Just then, your teacher winces and drops to her knees. She briefly removes her hands from her body, and you can see blood staining her shirt.

"One of the rocks knocked around in the explosion cut into me a bit." she explains, pressing down on the wound again. "It just had to be right where Hohenheim did his work, didn't it?"

You don't think you're quite qualified to fix a wound like that, but you've seen Yi do it before. Then again, that was just a scratch and he said it wasn't his specialty.

As you're considering this train of thought, your eyes are drawn to a small red stone lying just a bit away. You reach down and grab it. It's the Philosopher's Stone that Kimblee was using. It's your first time holding one, and it's a bit eerie. But a thought crosses your mind. This stone helped Kimblee transmute with no material around, it could easily patch up your teacher in seconds. Who knows, it could serve even greater use beyond that if you really felt like it.

"Thank you all for your support." Yi says, before turning to face you. He holds out his hand. "Now, Iskander. I must destroy that stone immediately. Please give it to me."

>A.Hold on, can you try to treat teacher first? Her wound looks kind of bad

>B.Wait, I'm going to use it to heal teacher first

>C.I think we should keep it and use it to our advantage. We need all the help we can get

You physically pry the dimensional rift in front of you open. What you see is a strange imitation of the room you're standing in. All the colors are clashing, the furniture is knobby and warped, and there seems to be a version of you staring back through the rift. It's blond snake hair raises and a xenomorph-esque head pops out of its mouth, rasping.

Bump.

"Bikini armor was originally developed by a perverted blacksmith for his fiancé, but it was soon found that kinetic shielding enchantments could make even these fetishistic garments a viable choice of armor. It became popular with Salamandria, whose denizens reject heavy armor in favor of mobility, partly due to lack of mineral resources. It's ease of conceal and complimentary nature make it a favorite amongst the Sylph nobility as well, who believe that the female form should not be squandered beneath puffy dresses or baggy robes."

You live in the small village of Mahonokon. You are currently ten years old, and live with your parents in a small one-room wooden house. Your family, nay, your entire village is very poor. The soil is terrible for growing crops, and the river the village grew up around dried up long before you were born.
Still, you have enough food and water to survive and the winters aren't very harsh here. You have your parents, you have your home (small as it may be) really, it's all you've ever known. You could have lived here your entire life without being all that upset about it.
You COULD have.
But one day, a merchant visited your town. It's rare that it happens, as your town rarely has any money or other things to trade. But apparently, Mahonokon is right between the city of Kinokado and the kingdom's capital city, Nobasho, so merchants do occasionally stop by.
Anyway, the merchant stayed only a day, but he was a very curious man, full of question after question that the townsfolk were more than happy to answer.
Such as when he asked whether or not the ruins had ever been fully explored.
Near your town is a cave, leading to an ancient town. You don't know much about it, as talking about the ruins is considered quite taboo for some reason. But it only took a few coin to loosen the townsfolk's tongues, and get them to admit that no, it hadn't been.

After overhearing this, you...

-Tried to go explore the ruins. The village elder forbids this, and it's very taboo, but how can you resist? It's an ancient ruin. You WILL explore it, even if you need to sneak about to do so... +2 Daring.

-Tried to get more information. Why is it that in your ten years of life you have heard so little about the ruins? You know talking about it is taboo, but why? Surely your your parents will explain if you just ask... +2 Intellect.

-Tried to get your friends to explore it with you. Go into the dark scary ruins by yourself? No thank you! And yet, you doubt anyone in the village, even your parents, would give you a straight answer. But you're really curious about this for some reason... Maybe you could convince some other kids to come with you? +2 Friendship.

-Did nothing. Everyone in your village is in agreement that the ruins are bad news. Just ignore it. +2 Heart.

It is the Year of Our Lord 1120. You are Victor Reis, a Knight-Captain of the Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Frankfurt (The Teutonic Order.) You had come to the Holy Land after a request for aid from your brothers in the newly-formed Templar order, and traveled with them to a mountain pass Northeast of Acre, and joining a Saracen horde in battle there, suddenly found yourself in another world, along with your Teuton brothers and Templar allies.

Previously, on Fantasy Crusader Quest....

I'm back and my technique, hopefully, is refined. Get ready for some tribal QUEST!

The dawn of a new day brings a warm joy to your tribe - the weather has turned for the best and a mild summer has begun, keeping spirits high and prospects for the future bright. You are the leader of these people, a small extended family of nomads, and today is like any other day.

This quest will follow the management of a primitive tribe, from making cultural decisions to resource management and roleplay, and allows you to forge the tribe's direction through history.

This quest, for all intents and purposes, is a fictional quest. There may be some fantastical elements that come into play, and nit-pickers might find inconsistencies in cultural and technological details when compared to our world. I apologise for nothing.

While the tribe is still quite small and nomadic, its ultimate goal is to settle somewhere and grow over time.

Some quick info on the mechanics:
- Each turn you have Action Points to dictate what will happen next Turn. AP are determined by the tribe's size.
- At the start of the quest, each Turn equals a month. This will remain as such for some time, though eventually we might transition to seasons or years if the tribe grows significantly.
- You represent the leader of the tribe. Mechanically you will deal with both macro and micro actions; monthly turns may be sliced up by roleplay esque events which require your leader's specific attention.
- Your assets are population, resources and inventory. Every action should involve at least one of these elements.

First things first, you need to decide on a few things:

1) Who are you?
> Write in Name

2) Who are your people?
> Write in Tribe Name

3) Where do you start your journey?
> The open, hilly steppes of the Great Grass Sea.
> On the borderlands of the Great Desert.
> On a bend of the Raging River, surrounded by light forest.
> Aside a great inland lake, surrounded by dense forest.
> A stone’s throw from the Great Waters, with salt and gull cries on the air.
> Nestled among the foothills of a great mountain range, surrounded by dense forest.

Things have not been good in your home. Ever since the colony started in this unusual system. As it turned out(and what the recruiters just 'happened' to forget to mention). Was the entire system was crawling with pirates and rife with banditry. Meaning that earning an honest living was difficult. Sure not all the pirates were that bad but there were enough of them around that it meant things were always hard. That is how you find yourself putting on a mask and preparing to go out. With the most recent pirate incursion you finally had enough.

Last time on EDQ we got Chrysoula to fall in love with us, and spent a lot of time learning spells and building up really.

Also, I'll be off and on for most of the day.

It seems the prime minister of Luxembourg had a falling out with the United Nations after his son was discovered to sleeping with the German Kaiser's daughter. He is currently in a very, very, very bad positioning as the Kaiser has forced the United Nations to give up protection of Luxembourg.

Which means the fifty-one mile country is open for occupation.

Of course, it is a European country, and you are already under a LOT of heat from the United Nations for enslaving the Netherlands.

In fact, the United Nations have cited you for breaking the Geneva Convention for enslaving a civilian population, and you have been labeled as a war criminal, not to mention a warmonger.

This means that with all nations aligned with the United Nations, you are at Unfriendly and your civilians slowly lose opinion of you so long as the "war criminal" title sticks.

Elizabeth seems a bit worried about this, Chrysoula doesn't care, and Frankizka hasn't even heard about it.

What do anons?

About The Quest~

Consider this quest a sandbox-ish quest(there's still a plot tho), you'll be meeting different species and doing whatever you want with them, anything goes, there's no-write in that's too lewd, stupid, crazy, dumb, like i said anything goes
You'll decide what to do with the tribes and species you'll meet along the way, want to turn their female/male population into submissive wrecks while the other dominates them? Want to drive them into extinction? Want to unify all the species of the area and make a kingdom out of them with you at the helm? Sure, go ahead, if the majority is ok with it you can do it
I'll provide you with possible actions, suggestions as well as an option for a write-in
Keep in mind that English isn't my first language so there will be a few typos and grammar errors here and there, if and when you see one of these feel free to point them out and correct me.
I would appreciate feedback after the session is done
Now, let's get started
----------------------------------
So
What happened last time?
Your parasitic wife turned human and gave birth to your children, they grew really quick in just a few days, you impregnated the tribes pseudo leader, some orphans and your daughter you also trained your kids into hunting and Excercise, your Daughter is particularly good at it, you broke your new dream guides experiment and revealed her nicer true (?) form, and last but not least you invented some new things. Did i miss anything?

>Check on Varu or Orphans and write in how to hang on
>Stay with them
>Continue hide procedure
>Have Breakfast with the tribe people
>Wake them up
>Write-in

Rukor was a shining jewel in the darkness of the cold void, it's oceans shimmering in the sunlight and glowing in the night from blankets of bioluminescent organisms that rose up from the depths. The moon, a celestial object the native ructu called Gunot, orbited the world in silence. Its pale surface was only marred by the defenses scattered across it or hidden in craters and ridges.

Yet in its deepest crag, hidden among the craters was a building unlike the others. The Temple of the Arc could gaze upon Rukor, the site of Nekris' first great victories, while still staying hidden from potential invaders.

Nekris strode within its halls, empty and silent for now, his claws clacking on the stone floor. The Temp of the Arc would house the Predators and their Arcdancers along with any sensitive prisoners the Predators wished to keep. Already plans were being made to transfer the younger pair of Ahkam to the depths of the Temple. He was due to meet with the Pirate Captain Vorlam for their "fishing trip" but he had time yet.

Deep into the Temple he marched, towards its heart. With a shove of his telekinetic might he forces open the heavy bulwark doors and steps inside. A great spherical chamber greeted him, the walls carved in runes of the Wormstar and dotted with outcroppings of crystal spires reaching inwards. Suspended in the middle of the chamber was a large sphere of nearly featureless metal with a band of pale bone around its equator.

Nekris rolls his shoulders and stretches for a few moments then plants his feet firmly. Holding all four of his hands in front of him bolts of Arc energy sparked between them, gritting his mandibles as he built massive charge of his personal energy and held it between his palms. Streamers of Arc energy flash along his body, arcing to the ground beneath him as he channels his power.

Finally he flung the energy forward and it surged out to strike the floating device, Arc energy crackling volatile across its surface but a mechanical whine began to fill the chamber. The Arc energy danced across the metal of the sphere only to suddenly be drawn to the bone strip as the massive Arc Condenser sparked to life. Nekris let his hands drop, severing the connection between himself and the device now that it had begun to self-sustain.

Bolts of Arc energy leap out from the spinning sphere to strike the crystal outcroppings and lights throughout the Temple began to illuminate. Nekris cracks the joints in his fingers and nods in satisfaction as he watches his Temple come alive.

The Arc connects, weaving all things together and Nekris vows to himself that he would see that the Armada weaved the Galaxy together.
