"She went whar, again?"
Oh, damn it all. There you are reaching for your flask again.

This is starting to become a force of habit. You don't like drinking out of stress; you really don't! It's not like you specifically seek out activities which drive you to drinking from merely being the unwilling participant in them.
It just seems to find you no matter where you go. Here you are right now in yet another situation which calls for heavy liquor.

You don't try to find trouble; you really don't! It just appears that trouble is a social drinker.

You are Jack Albator; mighty warrior, skilled detective, and foremost strongest hero in Biscotti. You find yourself once again trying to clean up the mess that the incompetence of others have created.

This time you've come across a peculiar case of incompetence from an unexpected source. Akiko, the shrine maiden Atsuko's sister and a rather respected huntress, quit responding to letters from the castle for several days. Atsuko asked you to investigate, and determine if anything had gone wrong.
You arrived at her cottage to find mostly everything in order. After some interrogation; you have come to the conclusion that Akiko is not as trustworthy as you had anticipated. Especially in regards to keeping track of things you left in her possession.

"I said, 'She went whar, again'?" You ask the question a second time, but you're certain that Akiko understood it.

Akiko stands with a sheepish look in front of you.
"Home." Akiko states plainly. "She said she was going home."

"Argh, aye heard you say that. Look, lass, didn't that dragon lady say that she couldn't go home? Whar happened to that?"

"I- don't know." Her extremely guilty face seems reddened. "-She just said she's had enough and she's going home."

"How'd she even get home? Did ye take her there?"

"Uh- uh, nope! She just said she's going home, and then.. went home!"

You feel that urge in your stomach kicking back up again.
"..Lass, which way did she go?"

Akiko points past you, and toward some random direction in the forest.

"How long ago was that?"
"About.. two days?"

"Oh fer-" You try to restrain yourself, "Why didn't ye mention this in the letters bein' sent to ye?"

"They were sending letters?" Akiko blinks. "It's strange, I wasn't getting any new letters, so I just assumed Atsuko was getting lazy."

Oh, so the letters weren't getting through. You suppose that answers that question at least.

"Did ye at least go and look fer 'er?"
"Of course not, why would I do that?" Akiko responds like it's the most natural answer in the world.
"What if she got lost?"
"She shouldn't have left, then. She'll come back when she's good and ready." She smiles obliviously.

>Okay. I'm going to go search for her.
>You're coming with me, don't think you're free of this.
>You are more worried why letters aren't getting through. Investigate that, first.
>Investigate the inside of a pint of banana rum while thinking about your life choices.
>Other?

You, Edward, Hohenheim and Yi stand back, as the score of men from the Northern forces train their weapons on Father.

"Light him up!" Olivier commands.

With that, there's a volley of continuous machine gun fire, interspersed with rifle or handgun fire. You can see Leah and Hawkeye doing their part. And that's not all, some of the men are even launching rockets at the enemy. They're giving no quarter whatsoever.

On his end, you see Father making little effort to defend himself. Any bullets or rockets that approach are transmuted into harmlessness. But from the furrowing of his brow, you can tell that he's upset. He likely knows it won't last, and that you're trying to wear down his Philosopher's Stone. The rate of fire from the soldiers slows down. They don't have the ammo to keep this up all day, so it'll probably fall to the alchemists to do the heavy lifting. Which they get into whole-heartedly. As soon as the soldiers stop firing, Colonel Armstrong and Lieutenant Colonel Mustang make their way forward.

"We just left our subordinates to fight the homunculi before while we sat at our desks, isn't that right, Mustang?" Armstrong asks, as he punches some projectiles Father's way. "I think it's about time we get our own hands dirty!"

"You took the words right out of my mouth, Colonel!" Mustang replies, as he snaps his fingers, sending a wave of fire at the homunculus. "I was actually getting pretty irritated that the kids were getting to have all the fun!"

The rain of stone and fire still isn't enough to shake Father, as he continues to transmute them out of his way. However, this assault has made the danger to him clear now. You suspect he can feel the power he took getting harder and harder to contain. He could flip out at any moment now.

"Count us in, too!" Edward says, making his way back to the fight. "That bastard is going down right now!"

Yi and Hohenheim follow suit, and you can see that with their intervention, Father is ready to do more than tank hits.

All through the night, sounds ring up through the deep, a thousand miniscule hands never resting as they labor meticulously in the dark, molding stone and moving earth in places unseen. It’s faint enough from within the tower’s walls that the young ones can sleep peacefully, yet audible enough for anyone who bothers to listen close, like a slow, sharp rhythm endlessly repeating itself.

Naturally, Cassandra would be the one listening throughout, her tail twitching sharply in time with the rhythm as minutes tick by ever so slowly into hours. Even with Yesh watching over the mechanical digging crew outside, she couldn’t rest easy with so many unknowns right outside of her doorstep and her little ones so close to possible danger. And so, she waits and feigns sleep, eyes closed but mind sharp as she forms a barrier around the beholder girl that would alert her if the aberration awoke from her sleep earlier than expected.

Though she looked defenseless and harmless enough for now, with snores coming softly and regularly with her small hands wrapped tight around a section of the great gorgoness’ tail and arms hugging it close, she wasn’t going to take any chances. She couldn’t afford to.

--

Cici, for her part, does as children do, sleeping as sound as always, regardless of the circumstance. Seemingly without a care in the world, she clutches Vivi tight and vice versa until the peculiar call of the morning birds has them rubbing their eyes and yawning away the clutches of sleep. Seems Mama must have fallen asleep hugging their new visitor.

[“Cute~”]

Peculiarly, however, the sound of rhythmic clinking has stopped. Strange.

[“Good morning, voices.”]

It’s time to clean up the mess you made! Even if it was an accident…

Of course I’m referring to the fact Silver Grin, the retired old man whose part time job was leaving people to their doom, went flying (and eventually crashed) after you violently stopped the wagon you three were riding. Your friend Gretchen, who is in the back, didn’t give a single fuck and kept on sleeping.

The guy is most certainly dead! He was at least 30 feet in the air before starting to fall down!

What are you going to do? You’re close to the main gates of Aliheath, the town you live in; you’re pretty sure nobody but yourself witnesses the dead of the very grumpy old man… Maybe you can get yourself out of this...

>Go and search for the body! No corpse, no murder!
>Go to the main gates, explain the situation to the guards and receive the punishment you deserve.
>Lie to the guards in the main gate saying you found this Horse Wagon empty in the middle of the road.
>Take Gretchen out of the wagon and walk to the main gate with her. Pretend nothing happened.
>Write In.

hello! its been a while.

if you don't know what this is the basic idea is to slowly create the lore of this lovely continent, lanya, over time by slowly creating events. this could be anything, from adding races, to forming civilisations, to destroying them, and to the world ending in a ball of fiery doom...until the next thread

its basically a glorified evolution thread.

try not to do anything do ridiculous, if cheese monsters leave mount doom then it won't be made cannon.

to start of I'll let you guys make some races.

a turn based shooter in which 2 teams of player fight each other to the death. to start things off you need to make a load out

since last thread a lot of player made meme builds, I'm going to tell you lot to try and be a little more responsible this time round. however tempting it may be to pick 2 dead mans ringers and 100 cherry bombs, please try to think of your team mates. I won't stop you, just a little forewaning I felt was required.

you have [400] points to make you build

light/utility
>silverfish (revolver) [50]
>frag grenade [20]
>concussive grenade [20]
>smoke grenade [10]
>lil' slugger (high impact hand gun) [70]
>knife [10]
>shuriken [5]
>saber [30]
>breaching ram [100]
>medkit [100]
>barracade [50]
>cherry bomb (very small explosive, best used as a distractoin) [1]

mid size weapons
>Rock-winder (very small smg with grip) [90]
>Silvershark (large rifle with a rotary loader) [120]
>rattlesnake (LMG) [200]
>Von Draco (flamethrower) [150]
>Orbit (sniper rifle) [150]
>Big Smoke (heavy double barreled shotgun) [120]
>number 9 (small pump actoin shotgun) [90]
>G3NR-1K (assualt rifle) [150]

heavy weapons/heavy explosives
>12 canister (a heavy, semi-portable, mounted gattling) [250]
>letupan besar (grenade launcher with 3 shots) [200]
>pocket nuke (massive explosive) [200]
>dead mans trigger (detonates when holder dies) [150]
>Lancer (single use RPG launcher) [250]

How the map works
>black: a wall. you can't go here or shoot through this
>grey: cover. your less likely to be shot when behind this. to increase this likely hood further you can crouch in front of it to make it close to impossible to be hit by none explosive, none flame thrower weapons. you can't move through it (no jumping allowed)
>white: movable space. you can shoot through this with standard hit rate.

how movement works
>you can move 5 spaces at a time, I've decided to up the movement speed from 3 since last thread, I realised that camping had became a major problem. using an item does not count as a movement point
>you choose where to move by announcing which direction you want to move in and how many times, like a string of commands. this also means you have to choose when to shoot in this string of commands. recoil and accuracy is effected by movement, so either start shooting on your last turn or stop early for best accuracy
>you can turn, and this does not count as a movement in its self. you can NOT however move diagonally

there are two teams

>sicle-moor
>sovereign

you'll be randomly assigned to one, and given a colour. good luck.

one last thing, to make things easier on my end, try to name yourself. its a heck of a lot easier for me when I don;t have to guess which anon anon is referring too

Too complex.
Dumb it down.
>>
>>1241632
I did that last thread, and I had to explain the game to every one while we where playing
>>
>>1241632
To call it an issue of complexity or dumbing down is to misidentify the problem.

>>1241654
You've made some progress. Trouble is, much of the rest of the game does little to inform incoming players how they should be thinking about it. Let's use the movement rules as an example.

>You can turn, and this does not count as a movement in its self. You can NOT however move diagonally.
Let's start off with something nice. This line starts out a little clunky, but it makes two things clear: turning is free and cardinal movement only. Good. This was a question last time, and it won't be anymore.

>You can move 5 spaces...
You start this line off with the concept of "spaces." Cool. I've played board games before. There aren't grid lines on your map, but I see squares, which I'm comfortable with equating to spaces. So I can move 5 spaces in a turn, right?

>...at a time.
Uh-huh. That's not a turn. So, /maybe/ I can move 5 spaces in a turn. Or maybe it works like in XCOM, where I get these 5 spaces of movement "at a time" like batches. If the latter, how many batches of 5 spaces do I get?

>Using an item...
I-I'm not even solid on how many spaces I get to move yet.

>... does not count as a movement point.
Items work on different rules than movement does? Why are they being mentioned in the same line? I still don't know if I get my 5 spaces per turn or in batches. And what the heck is a movement point? This is the first and last time we see the term "movement point" in all the rules, so I can't connect it to any other concepts I've read here unless I start making assumptions, which is something no player wants to knowingly do if they're interested in winning or at least being successful.

Try to explain to me how movement really works, and we can go from there.

You are Python the Great, a high priest of the great Naga Civilization. The past empire had ended unexpectedly, and your people, petrified within the Great Ziggurat. You had awoken prematurely, and set out to figure out what had happened, and woke Princess Medushala, a rare ‘gorgon’ naga. With her help, you’ve unpetrified those you could from the Ziggurat. Others are surely still locked away, even buried behind broken arches and ruined halls…

Your first decree as High Priest was to gather as much knowledge as possible and concentrate on retrieving your people’s lost technology. After all, the Naga had made many breakthroughs in magical technology. Finding anything at all would help you get your people on their feet.

Scouts have explored the underground area where you have rebuild your city (in which only a handful of people only reside). There are three tunnels by ground, as well as two by water. Given your race's amphibious nature, you may be able to use them tactically.

Before you contemplate on your next course of action, it seems your people have managed to dig out precious artifacts!

hello again m8

You are Sigmund Carridan, apprentice to the Wizard Albeus the Old, Court Wizard of King Earldar III son of King Earldar II and ruler over the Kingdom of Almak.
The reign of King Earldar has been prosperous, mostly thanks to his wise advisor the Wizard Albeus, who has guided him to the way on the throne since he was but a small child. He mentored many Wizards and Mages all over the Kingdoms of Tholut. Whenever there was a problem that King Earldar couldn't handle or understand he turned to Albeus for answers, some say he is older than time, others say he inveted time itself, all that everyone knows is that he is old, older than any man walking on the face of Tholut. He knows more than the oldest books and the knows almost every man woman and child in the Kingdoms, he was the reason why Tholuts Kingdoms were saved from war and conflicts for he or his pupils have always managed to intervene with tension or distrust among the people of other Kingdoms.

It was a long ago that Albeus took you on as an apprentice. You were always talented in magic, you were mere 4 when you conjured your first lightning at your fathers feet. He wasn't really glad to find out his son wasn't going to contiue the family Lumber business. When you reached your 8th birthday your mother and father send you to Albeus to teach you in the ways of magic. You've been with him for 12 years now and grown into a clever and witty man. You learned alot of spells from Albeus and you were given a gift from him on your 18th birthday, your first magic staff. You've been using it ever since. Although you are talented in magic you still can't manage to conjure spells without a spellbook. So you always keep a notebook of all the spells you know so far. It's as good as Albeus book though, the book named Spellkeeper this magical book can do more than just be open and closed, through the magic that goes through it has the ability to speak and think like any human could, often times you heard them argue in his study, laughing or yelling at eachother, the book seems to be his best friend.

It is your 21th birthday, today you will finally go from an apprentice to a real wizard. You spent the day celebrating with your friends in the tavern and at home with your family. On the end of the day you were to meet Albeus in his Tower, there you'll be awarded your new title but as you arrive you aren't meet by Albeus but with multiple guards standing infront of the entrance of the Tower. As you move in to ask what happend the guards told you not to bother them, as you tell them who your are their eyes widen and they immediatly tell you that the King wants to speak to you. They escort you to the Throne room, on the way you think this is all just one of Albeus's pranks he likes to pull and he'll be waiting in the throne room to award you your new title. But as you enter you see King Earldar talking arguing with his advisors loudly in the hall.

As you move closer into the richly decorated hall you hear more of the conversation of the King with his advisors. "I don't care if it's only been a day we need to find him!", "My King maybe he just got lost in the forest?", "Albeus knows my Kingdom even better than me! There is no way he would get lost and not be back before nightfall! Something happend to him and we need to find out what! I want every Scout, every Knight, every Soldier to survey the Land! Why must it be now why, there is no way this happens randomly!", as you arrive in the main hall the advisors and personnel are hurrying out of the Hall and shove themself past you through the exit, they don't seem to notice you. As you step closer to the throne you see King Earldar, he is an old man, nearing his 53th birthday, his hair is long gone and his skin is wrinkled and covered in age spots his face is covered by a long gray beard that reaches down to his chest and he drives his hands along his face and lets out a heavy sigh. From his usual proud standing figure is no trace to be seen, he has been reduced to a sunken mess of a man, he seems to be adrift from reality. So much even that he does not realise that you entered the room. Maybe you should say something to make him notice your presence, after all it is rude to approach a King without saying hello, or so Albeus has thaught you...

Hey everyone and welcome to Unnaground /k/ommando quest! This quest is based loosely off of a popular thread topic and series of writefaggotry that spawn on /k/ a while ago in which a /k/ommando was building a tunnel to use as an underground firing range to avoid ATF regulations. People fell in love with this madness and create the fictional community of the Unnaground (styled after the saying 'Going Innawoods' to describe hiding in the woods to escape ATF, Government agents, crippling personal insecurities etc).

Combat in this quest will be D100 based as will all rolls unless stated specifically otherwise. Next post will contain Info, this quest was inspired by a few friends from a previous quest, if you recognize this name from Discord, you probably know who you are you spooky bastards.

You are Stronk Nugget of the Slavaboo tribe of the Unnaground. You and your brothers were not born in the Unnaground, you had once been a filthy sky-seer but as a child you had stumbled into a shoddily crafted access tunnel and gotten horribly lost in the never ending twisting and turning network of drunkenly dug ratholes that formed the haphazard network of death traps known as The Unnaground.

On your third day you stumbled across a dead body that was trapped by a partially collapsed tunnel. You quickly approached the dead man and looted through his pockets, finding a bottle full of water and some dried jerky. You remember how you greedily stuffed your mouth with what you now knew to be Salamander jerky and chugged the bottle of "water". The delayed burning in your mouth told your child self that this was not water. Nearly by reflex you had grabbed out for something to hold onto as you almost chocked on the food and vodka in your mouth, as your fingers gripped a piece of wood you tugged on it, the gun coming free and seeming to lovingly fall into your hands as your butt hits the dirt.

"Cyka Blyat!" your tiny voice rings through the tunnels as your hands fumble over the gun before an errant finger catches the trigger and fire and noise are belched from the old worn barrel.

It had taken only a few minutes to find you, an innebriated preteen holding an old Mosin Nagant and gently caressing it as Russian spilled unbidden from your lips.
"What do you got there boy?" the first human voice you had heard in three days was gruff, but kind.
"Natasha." you spoke, the name that the gun had been whispering to you ever since your fingers first caressed her stock.
"Her name is Natasha." you reaffirmed with a smile.
This illicited a cheer form the entire group that you could now see behind the man, the darkness of the tunnels seemed to be lifted from your eyes, the faint lights providing more than enough illumination for you to see.
"But Dmitri, he is a sky-seer." whispers one of the men.
"No, he has drank the vodka, and the spirit of the fallen brothers Raifu has chosen him! He is one of us from this day until his last!" The man who had first spoken to you then pulls out a bottle of what you know now to be vodka, and anoints your head with it. He chuckles softly as you open your mouth to catch the stream of precious liquid.

That had been so much time ago, time did not pass the same in the Unnaground as it did on the surface, days had no meaning, sleep came when your body tired or the vodka claimed you. But today would be your first time returning to the land of the Sun-Faces, the place you had once called home. Today was the day you raided the Sky-seers for supplies and possibly slaves!
You can see the exit of the Unnaground ahead of you, a faint line of light covered with a sloppily arranged turf cap. You gently run your hand over Natasha, the ceremonial Salamander bones tied to her rattle like chimes as you check to make sure she is clean and ready to fire, you check your kilt, counting each individual stripper clip of ammuntion that has been stapled to it.

You are prepared so you
>A. Take a drink of your vodka ration and charge (3 drinks, used as a power up by invigorating the spirit of the Slav that resides within you)
>B. Charge with bayonet attached out of the hole and spear the nearest sky-seer
>C. Poke your head out of the hole and begin sniping them from afar

About The Quest~
Consider this quest a sandbox-ish quest(there's still a plot tho), you'll be meeting different species and doing whatever you want with them, anything goes, there's no-write in that's too lewd, stupid, crazy, dumb, like i said anything goes
You'll decide what to do with the tribes and species you'll meet along the way, want to turn their female/male population into submissive wrecks while the other dominates them? Want to drive them into extinction? Want to unify all the species of the area and make a kingdom out of them with you at the helm? Sure, go ahead, if the majority is ok with it you can do it
I'll provide you with possible actions, suggestions as well as an option for a write-in
Keep in mind that English isn't my first language so there will be a few typos and grammar errors here and there, if and when you see one of these feel free to point them out and correct me.
I would appreciate feedback after the session is done
Now, let's get started
----------------------------------
So
What happened last time?
You made better houses for everyone and got some people interested in builiding stuff, your two wives pregancies advanced normally as well as your daughter's and the orphan's, the gatherers started farming and Daarta took a liking to it,You made more rawhide for armor which the tribespeople designed and Silas started taming predators for the tribes use.

You also got people to believe in Evangeline which brought her to your world and you spent the night building her a house her size for her to sleep in.
Did i miss anything?

So assuming you finished the house and went to bed with your family and Varu and had a restful sleep.

You wake up with between Varu and Daarta but as always they're still asleep.

What do you do?

Hello, welcome to the latest installment of Amdor – CivQuest

It has been my intention from the onset do develop a simple, point based system that would make for steady progress, and to quantify the productive ability of a civilization. Like most I've seen, we have two actions per turn. Currently, we're going seasonal turns. We are in Year 5 of Amdor. Just 5yrs ago, the fog pulled away, and there was a planet and it had people, and things began. So far we have players for Dwarves, Elves, Faery, Gnolls, Goblins and Yuan-Ti. We had others, but lost some along the way.
We have room for one or two, but read the archives and make sure our slow pace isn't offputting to your gaming style.

Each turn you get two actions: You may choose to “take 50” for these and take a guaranteed, average success for most actions if you with to. Actions are used to discover new technology, begin building projects, initiate trade with other civs.... Or assist passive actions. We are using “open ended” d100 rolls. That is, if you roll a 1-5, roll again and subtract to see just how horrible your failure is, and if you roll 96-100, roll again and add to see how critical your success was. Yes, rolls do go beyond two, and sometimes change directions. If you roll 01, and 01, you're at zero, and you've switched back in the positive direction, and must roll a third time, and hope it's not under five!

You get 100 Passive Points per turn. These are used to represent your population, expressed as a percentage. Passive points are applied directly to leveling a knowledge, project or skill. T0 requires 250pts and is noted at T0 x/250. T1 is x/500, T2 is x/1000 and so on.

We have established a Character Point system for noteworthy citizens. If your civilization has a specialist, you turn in 1 passive point, and gain 100 character points. These noteworthy citizens may “level” technology just like a passive points, and so long as that character remains alive, your civilization will retain this knowledge.

Citizens are trained just like noteworthy character, except we figure out what percentage of you population you're training as, say T2 Archers, and we loose a corresponding number of Passive Points (PP) in order to train the troops, or scientists, or whatever.

It is our intention to include actual character roleplaying segments with these noteworthy characters at various points during the campaign.

This year is by far the coldest year yet. In northern latitudes, snow stays on the ground for weeks at a time, for the first time ever. Even the tropics notice that their snow capped mountains, get bigger snowcaps, and that perhaps some clothes might be in order next year! It's also the first year you have a distinct sleeping of some trees during hibernation, and waking to spring with new growth.
>>
This spring is the springiest spring that Admor has yet sprung. The flowers. The trees. The pollen... 5% of all peoples will have allergies... lol, i'm kidding...

Weather kicks in for real now, if your living in anything under T2, or not in a cave, you'll experience your first leaking roofs. Your first tree blown over in a storm.. etc. Nature it would seem, is a harsh bitch and not a nurturing eden after all!

+All bosses now have a Hard Mode-- something to revisit for a harder challenge.
+New Skill: Survival - Allows you to scavenge in areas for food, water, ammunition, and other worthwhile materials; allows you to make fires and purify materials; gives you a chance to hold on for dear life after running out of HP.
+Two brand new story arcs to explore about the YouthQuest lore! Yay!
+Alchemy has been buffed, as previously talked about in #discussion.
+Minigames! If you go to your House, you get to use DVDs (two are given to you for free, but you can find even more) to play shit for fun and perks.
+Four new enemy types!
+Melee weapons have been buffed slightly.

Just Plane Wrong
+Plane of Nightmares: An alternate realm where the world is much, much more difficult and without remorse; money, however, is tripled.
+Summoner's Run: A challenge set by the Grand Council, where players must survive against waves and hordes of endless(ish) enemies in exchange for prizes beyond imagination.
+A bunch of fucking melee weapons, mostly swords and clubs.
+Another bunch of bows, because you can never have enough of those.
+Alchemist's Cookbook (Volumes 2 and 3) will now have six potions instead of three due to rarity. This also adds six new potions to the game.
=Last Stand is ready.
-The Guild System has been replaced with the Party System, which works the same, but speech restrictions are higher and the cap is four (4).

__________

In the last thread you escaped slavery, found your father was murdered and your city under occupation by unknown assailants, and to make matters worse, the empire isn't helping reclaim your city. So, you left town with a trader named Samuel and eventually found yourself at the capitol city of the Illithan Empire hoping to learn magic.

You now stand before the walls to the city, a blue aura pouring off of them. Your escort, a city guard, produces a small stone inscribed with a rune from a pocket on his side. He presses the rock against the surface of the wall and it shimmers with a blue light. Suddenly, a portion of the wall slides out from its position and raises itself up above you both, creating a large passageway into the city. The guard walks through and motions for you to follow.

You emerge from the tunnel and are taken aback by what you see. The sprawling city is covered with dancing lights that seem to move of their own volition. Buildings higher than you could ever imagine reach up over the walls, each one made up of beautifully shining marble. The people too are like nothing you've seen before. They seem elegant, more refined. Each clad in flowing silk or other expensive materials. You even see some in spun gold. Not even the nobles at your father's court match even the most common person here in regards to style nor mannerisms. "Welcome to your new home, brother!" The guard cheers before leading you through the crowd.

You stop at a guard station. Your escort tells you that you will need citizenship papers before you do anything in the city. It was a quick process and before long you were back out on the street. The guard gives you a small map with location of the diviner he knows marked on it. "Good luck with your schooling kid." the man calls to you before returning to his post. What would you like to do?

This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Chunin named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, although your sharp intelligence, and your jack of all trades skill set have brought you far. You're a Chunin of notable talent for your age. You're on your way home after a difficult mission.

The next morning, you take the time to heal your party before moving forward. There weren't many injuries sustained at all, despite the chaotic events that unfolded. Kichiro was the one with the most damage, though he really did most of it to himself. Activating the First Gate always means some serious soreness for a while, but your Mystical Palm technique left him feeling fit enough to get walking.

Ai went off and caught some fish for breakfast, before everyone was awake. It was a bit of a group effort to get Shikadai to wake up, having to drag him out of the tent. He's probably not used to the strict way your squad operates.

The walk back is somewhat somber, but soon enough you're joking and laughing with your friends. The misty landscape never allows the tone to elevate past a certain point. The tension in the air was palpable, the roads desolate. There was a time only a year ago when trade was bustling in the Mist, and they'd been more prosperous than ever before in history.

During the breaks on your way back, you continue to read the books on Boil Release that you'd rented. While you completely fail at any attempt to manifest the element, you are getting a better understanding of chemistry. You note that Ai seems to be a bit quieter than usual, even. You're unsure how she feels about the situation with her brother. Do you want to approach her, or leave the topic for now?

>A. Approach her directly. Ask Ai if she feels alright about fighting her only brother.
>B. Try to be a little more subtle. Ask Ai if she'd like to train when you got back, and work out some stress
>C. Leave the topic until you return to the village. You can always visit her later.

Welcome to Spirit Detective Quest! This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Yu Yu Hakusho, though it does not take place during the events of the show. You're a young highschooler, one who will find himself granted the title of Spirit Detective, and will be charged with tracking down demons and other supernatural criminals.

>Rules

Each time I make an update, there will be a ten minute window in which you can vote between various options I have provided. Write-ins are accepted and encouraged, but I do reserve the right to veto them. Once ten minutes have passed, the option (or suitable combination) with the most support will win.

You can choose multiple options, but be mindful of when that doesn't take any sense. Saying you want to go talk to someone and then talk to someone else in one post doesn't make much sense.

Also, in combat, I may veto selecting multiple options depending on how feasible that seems.

As far as combat, you will roll to attempt different options. I will not tell you what the number needed is ahead of time, so use your heads and balance risk/reward. Sometimes, you should take riskier options if they can yield greater payoff. Other times, it's best to play it safe. Use your judgement.

This is not Dragonball, and while there are sometimes ways to bring back the dead, they are few and far between, so do not assume that anybody you kill/let die will be coming back.

I hope you all have fun.

After fighting for your life against some deadly monster, you're happy to be able to just sit down and have some food with friends.

Given the time of day, the pizza place isn't exactly crowded, and you see no sign of Rachael, who's probably still at school. So, it's nice and peaceful for you and your friends to sit there, take a load off, and enjoy some tasty food.

"I still can't believe how great this pizza is," Aria comments after taking another bite. "I should try to convince Lord Koenma to have this place cater his parties in Spirit World."

"Who's Koenma again?" Damon asks, setting his pizza down.

"The son of the great King Yamma," Aria answers before taking a sip of her soda. "He oversees the Spirit Detectives, Spirit Guides, and so on."

Damon's eyebrows shoot up. "Sounds like an important guy."

Aria rolls her eyes. "That's puttin' it mildly. But, anyway, I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that this case was wrapped up so quickly."

She takes another bite of her pizza.

>A. Ask if she thinks that monster was the one Suldon was working for

>B. Ask when you'll get paid for these jobs

>C. Hopefully there won't be any more cases this week; you could use some rest

>D. Something else
