It literally isn't. As someone who works on an ambulance I see how fucking awful it is on a daily basis. People without money get fucked. People with insurance that went dry beyond their fault get fucked.

The American healthcare/insurance system is beyond corrupt and needs to be entirely remodeled. There is fraud and corruption at every corner because the primary drive is for profit and it affects patient care in the worst manner. People are treated like cattle rather than patients who have lives and need attention to improve their condition.

Things are in such a bad state right now that I actually WOULD support the socialization of healthcare despite the paradigm that the government will fuck up anything they touch. I honestly don't believe it could get worse.
