Is it better to burn out or to fade away?
More specifically, and for non-ausfags; would you rather your favourite car disappear entirely, or be turned into a cheap mockery of what it used to be? Is it better to go out with dignity, or to live on as a shadow of your former self?
It's just like King of the Hill and The Simpsons.
I'm glad they're letting the Falcon die a noble death rather than turning it into a shitpile like they're doing with the Commodore.
>>17829821
agree 100%, last Falcon may not have been the best, but it was a decent send off at least. The new Commodore just seems like an insult
>>17829799
>>17829821
>>17829851
>didnt know what new commodore looked like
>look it up
JUST
Should I buy it /o/?
If you're gay as fuck, yes
Yeah its a great car, just make sure you get the sport
>>17829784
The turbo weighs 2,900 lbs. You can't really even call them lightweight cars anymore.
I really want an electric car , /o/ ... should I wait longer or is this Nissan Leaf 2018 finally the budget electric we've all been waiting for?
>>17829762
Go for it if you don't care about the 200 mile range Nissan Leaf 2019
Wait until 2030
A
What's the consensus on mudflaps, /o/
they flap mud
If you actually /offroad/ then they are functional in keeping rocks from chipping your paint.
If you have them because you play DiRT Rally and want to look like Colin McRae while at the grocery store then fuck off
Do not get tacky red ones
hey /o/ I'm 20 years old and I will be going for my license tomorrow. Any tips?//??
Don't get too upset when you fail.
Yeah from now on be less of a loser and get shit taken care of sooner
Also drive like a grandma with crippling OCD who just used her life savings to buy her dream car of 80 years and you should be fine.
Be attention to what the fuck the instructor tells you to do, don't try to rush through the test and do it as you practiced. Also keep both your hands on the wheel always.
How do you get over the feel of not buying that car when everything was so right?
By knowing I still have money saved for the next car I fall in love with
>>17829584
3000 dollar Jensen interceptor it was striped down all it needed was pant i put it off overnight and it was gone
>>17829584
Overpay on another car. You'll be so busy kicking yourself in the ass, you'll forget about the other car.
is there such thing as an exotic car/sports car/coupe/whatever that fits three in the back and is fun to drive?
DB11 - NO
Lotus Evora 400 - NO
Ferrari FF - NO
911 - NO
All I can figure is a Bentley (or Rolls).
Am I just a failure at the interwebs? Are there such cars?
>What's the best driver's car for 5 ?
Why? There's no point. 2+2 is as far as they'll go because 4 bucket seats can give every individual the same exotic experience (meaning ultra thin, easy to damage leather stretched over a carbon fiber bucket that's super uncomfortable but then you tell all your friends how great it is) bench seat is a compromise.
Did you forget about the Rapide and Panorama?
>>17829690
Rapide is 2 in the back, pretty sure
Panamera, too, but the Panamera Tourismo will seat 3 in the back
What are some fun things I can do with a 100% vanilla 2013 Honda Fit.?
Basic/inexpensive improvements, techniques I can practice, etc, idk
No complaints, but lately driving it has started to feel pretty boring.
>>17829516
sell it and buy a subcompact with actual aftermarket support.
Like a Ford Fiesta or a Chevy Sonic.
>>17829516
personally I wouldn't bother modifying an economy car.
BUT if you are really stubborn and still want to even though you'll regret it when you eventually sell it... you could buy better tires, coilovers, a tune(maybe). Shit just even tires and new suspension will make it feel way better
whatever you do, do not get an exhaust for it.
>>17829540
>a tune
totally not worth it on the L15 engine. You're talking maybe 5 HP at most
Any advanced drivers/riders on here? Seems like a big thing in the UK but I'm not sure if similar organisations exist in other cultures.
>drive fast as fuck
>increase your own safety
>get insurance discounts
>group rides and drives with people of similar ability
I'd do it if I was a britbong.
Is this a club?
I did an advanced motorcycle course in Australia. Really fun and would recommend to other riders.
I get insurance discounts and some other things which being U25 is pretty helpful (still pay a shitload though).
>>17829509
I know a guy who lives in Las Vegas; according to him there's a racetrack there where you can take a basic ass course on driving fast or whatever and if you pass you qualify for some insurance discounts.
Pretty cool desu, makes me wish I lived by a track.
>Imagining a US in which special Advanced License Drivers (which is really just what the license test should already fucking be) don't have to abide by the speed limit.
Where did it all go wrong?
>>17829503
If you changed the emblem on the grill you could convince people that it was a Benz and no one would second guess it.
could we be witnessing the return of window wind deflectors?
>>17829503
Mitsubishi took a serious wrong turn when they made fighter planes for Japan in WWII. Despite this, they still use a propeller emblem.
Corolla

Went for a cruise today, the Subaru crowds must be growing.
>My states really just a big fireball currently
They need these kind of skys for Mad Max here on out.
>>17829373
Montanon? Shits hell in the missoula valley these days.
>>17829606
Nah, WA. This was out on hwy 530 not far out from Arlington on the way to Darrington. Came out to find ash all over my shit today and the smoke got worse as the day went on.
>used to drive to Kalispell once or twice a year to see family, such a fun drive
>live in an apartment where there's no place to wash my car
wtf do I do?
>>17829233
Self-service car wash
>>17829236
This. Never go through those normie drive-through washes. They just ruin your paint.
>>17829236
But that's for poor people
Can anyone redpill me on Lexus? Are they as good as people say? I've been thinking about picking up one of these bad boys. Looks like I can get a 2010 es 350 for around 10k, doesn't seem like a bad choice
>>17829144
why would you want an es? just get a loaded camry.
>>17829151
I didn't even realize it's a fwd, assholes list it as AWD. But I'm mainly looking at Lexus for the red/AWD sedans
>>17829186
awd is a meme. just get snow tires.
Anyone have any experience with sound proofing the inside of their car? At first I was thinking about getting quieter tires, but I don't want to sacifice performance or comfort.
>>17829009
Did Dynamat on the interrior doors and trunk of my 04 STi. Works okay. Might add some more stuff in the doors at the end of the summer.
>>17829009
>don't want to sacifice performance
you will add weight though anon
>>17829032
The tires have a much greater effect on performance than a couple pounds of weight per door will.
