The Ford was never designed for LHD and something in the engine bay was in the way, they couldn't do it.

Gm exported commodores to the Middle East in LHD and then there was the caprice ppv for the USA. You just have to understand the factory is limited in how many it can build. It's just one Australian factory.

Kind of why we haven't been getting RHD camaros because GM have been flat out supplying North America and just haven't been bothered developing one yet

The problem with outsourcing shit to the chinks is fucking terrible build quality. Literally nothing has quality control, and there's no way to regulate it, from the alloy they use to make the chassis to the electronics, anything could break at any given moment or cause a fatal accident.

There's some real horror stories floating around on 4chan from some anon who was hired to be an intermediary between some Chinese steel company and a Russian importer, beams had different thicknesses, were filled with melted scrap metal to pad out stolen material, rusting and all sorts of shit.

Ford has a place in Taiwan that makes cars for straya, but basically the strayan devision had to move 70% of the staff from a factory over, only hire educated people, and basically supervise every single aspect of the production from beginning to the end, using almost no locally sourced materials.

Less strayan salaries being paid than a normal factory, but even more intensive scrutiny and quality control that had to be supervised by trusted and qualified employees from various branches around the world.
