What is your favorite album on this chart and why
>>73352026
ITAOTS but i'm pretty sure it's there as a joke. anyway, i love the way mangum's voice directs the instruments and the memorable guitar strums. I also like how the album feels like one big song
>>73352037
this. ITAOTS is objectively a great album worthy of all the praise and love it gets.

Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space :)
>If you made an album /mu/ as a collective would hate it
>>73352010
>Implying /mu/s opinion matters
>>73352025
I mean i only listen to mucore and its all good and ive stopped listening to a lot of artists because mu hates them lol. I guess you can say i care about mu
>>73352042
You sound like an autistic sperg. Stop caring what others like. This is a place for people to connect and discover, not for you to follow word for word.
Time > Us And Them > Speak To Me/Breathe (In The Air) > Brain Damage/Eclipse > The Great Gig In The Sky > Any Colour You Like > Money > On The Run
Pretty much same, but swap Speak to Me and Any Colour You Like
>>73352204
Well, I always considered Speak To Me as a part of Breathe, but alright. I don't think Any Colour You Like is that great, even though it's incredible.
i meant both speak to me and breathe i just didnt want to type it all out :^T
anyone here like migos? they have really grown on me lol
Honestly I loved YRN.
China Town, Chirpin' and Adios were heavy on the rotation along with the obvious Versace.
All the albums between that and Culture didn't do it for me though.
I like some of their songs desu
>>73351900
I listen for the production and Takeoff. The other two are okay.

MBV is the only shoegaze band. Everyone else is just varying degrees of "dream pop"
that is all.
>>73351408
why did kevin let his mom into the band
>>73351408
It's sad how true this is, no one even comes close to approaching their sound.
blinda is my waifu :^33
Are the strokes good?
Yeah but you're listening to the wrong album
>>73351460
is this it is the best imo. new EP isn't bad. I just started listening to Angles for the first time and it's not really shitty just more casual
>>73351489
>IMO
more like the general opinion
recently been getting into this mans music more. I really like his composing, but not wild about his comedy rock records n such. What is a great record by him that is more like uncle meat or Hot Rats and less like Joes Garage or Apostrophe.
MUCH THANKS!
>>73351387
its hard to say, burnt weeny sandwich is probably what you should check out next but dont rule out his 70s output because roxy, one size fits all, and zappa in new york are all amazing i personally love all of his music including yerbouti and joes garage so stay open minded and these albums will grow on you however apostrophe and overnite sensation are not very good imo
You need this, Burnt Weeny Sandwich, and both Lumpy Gravys (they are different—the first edition is entirely orchestral and the second is basically a companion piece to Money).
Following that, Absolutely Free, Waka/Jawaka, Grand Wazoo.
If you like Money/Lumpy Gravy you can listen to the sequel he made 25 years later, Civilization Phaze III. It's a bit different instrumentally but similar in spirit.
There's also Orchestral Favorites and his London Symphony Orchestra recordings but they're not quite as fulfilling as they might sound.
Also, Zappa's early film scores are cool (The World's Greatest Sinner and Run Home Slow)
I recently found out about this Angel
Are you familiar with her?
What do you think of her music
iamamiwhoami 2.0

Honestly, these guys were a breath of fresh air and I miss the shit out of that indie scene.
>>73351334
>come out of a tiny record shop today
>some old fat fuck is wearing a Vampire Weekend shirt out of nowhere
>I personally have no emotional stake in the band, I've never heard anything they did, I just instinctively don't want this old fat guy to wear something with Vampire Weekend on it somehow
>>73351334
>Modern Vampires was 4 years ago
I have a fair share of problems with that album, but I still listen to it to this day, while music I supposedly liked from that year goes by the wayside, so I guess they were doing something right
i posted a thread a couple days ago about oxford comma being one of the best choruses of the decade
