Question to all the guitarfags out there;
Recently I brought my strat to the guitar store for a refurbishing, and I just got a call from the guy who owns the place and he says that there is a tear in the body underneath the bridge (straight through where it's screwed on the body) which causes the bridge to be unstable and he cannot finish finetuning and polishing the guitar because of this.
He told me it would cost about €200,- (about $225,-) to fix this, and on top of that would come the rest of the costs (€100,-) which would bring it to a grand total of €300,- just to get this guitar fixed up.
Thing is, I bought this guitar for about €350,- second hand some years ago. It's serial number is MN3127128. I did some research and apparantly it was manufactured in Mexico in '93-'94. This is all I know. I have no idea about the quality of the guitar or what have you, and I'm wondering if it's worth it to spend another €300,- ($337,5) just to get it fixed. Pic related; it's the guitar on the left.
Info and advice would be appreciated so much!
its just a piece of fucking wood
the fact you brought it somewhere to get "polished" and "refurbished" precludes any chance of you actually knowing how to play the instrument anyway
my advice would be to kill yourself
>>73359549
Oh yeah, because being a luthier is required to be a musician. Go kill yourself you elitist sack of shit.
>>73359549
It's called getting a set-up, you idiot.

Probably pretentious for me to answer my own question, but I used to be a DJ (back when dubstep was a huge thing, it was a cringy time in my life. Once my computer broke, I attempted to learn guitar, I found various genres of music to be fascinating, and tended to experiment with various sounds, so I looked more into experimental music, and became interesting especially in singer-songwriter music.

I started wanting to make music after hearing The Fall of Troy's self titled album when I was 14. Looked it and Doppelganger up after playing guitar hero. It was a level of self expression I hadn't really heard before.
Any cool memories from /mu/ circa 2008-2013?
