Has anyone else done a complete 180 on this album? From thinking it was pretty good to thinking it was overrated and entry-level tier to thinking it's by far the very best the genre has to offer. Now that my taste has vastly expanded, every time I listen to this album now I'm just amazed at the musicianship and song structure. Aggressive without being obnoxious or alienating and emotional without being overly sentimental. Now I'm not some kind of metal expert, I've heard all the essentials and then some, so I would like some input from people who are more into the genre. I can't help but notice the vast difference in quality between this and other metal albums.

Most metal fans go through a path where Metallica is one of the bands that gets them into it, to disliking them for a long time, and then coming back to them years later and realizing just how brilliant their early work is.
i like kill em all more
What happens if I don't like Radiohead?

You have to fight Thom Yorke to the death.

Honestly, I can't. Good job, OP.

So I just finished listening to this. What am I missing? Is it one of those albums that just needs several listens to appreciate? Was I just meme'd?

Pic related for me
Incubus fall 2001
Radiohead last year
Call me a pleb, but honestly, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. He played a fantastic show. Band was on point. Had some great banter with the audience. Venue was good.

>>73584902
Anyway, how's your sex life?
guilty pleasure thread
it's really shitty, bottom of the barrell poppy pop punk but i can't help but listening to the infectious catchy hooks from time to time
what do you feel guilty listening to and enjoying?
I'll be honest, Mayday Parade's s/t is unironically a good pop punk album.
So is their EP Tales Told by Dead Friends
Definitely the two best things they've put out and it's really strange how actually good they are
>>73584780
i feel the same way. it feels odd to say, but a lot of their stuff is genuinely good and sitting there listening to it its kind of confusing. like i'm questioning, how is this as good as it i and why are these so well written? it's not usually what you find in a band that goes on tours with bands like sleeping with sirens and pierce the veil, both shit bands
>>73584780
same with MCR, a good amount of MCRs discography is genuinely incredible
Objective Truths:
>Wish You Were Here is the best Pink Floyd album
>Pink Floyd is one of the most important bands to ever exist and definitive /mu/core
>Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1-5) is one of the best songs of all time
>>73584555
Agreed also title track is even better
