Why/When did Kings/Royalty stopped dressing up with regalia that would differentiate them (and set them apart) and start dressing like normal people?

I know that this escalated a lot after the latest revolutions and depositions of monarchs, but I feel that this was already happening before.

For instance, if you imagine an ancient king or a medieval king they would be dressed in a really special manner which would instantaneously tell anyone that they were the guys in charge. On the other hand, Renaissance, Modern and even Contemporary monarchs dressed like anyone around them (think pic related, ww1 monarchs on their military inspired uniforms and the Spanish royal family, respectively).

Why was that?

pic related: if it wasn't for his position on the painting, and the obvious bowing, you wouldn't be able to tell which one was the king just by his attire. Perhaps if you were really knowledgeable you could tell this based on some detail on his clothing or whatever, but there's no clear distinction (like a crown, for example).

Sorry for the broken English.

Never?

Notice that in pic related the King, the guy bowing, and the guy wearing blue on the bottom left of the picture are all wearing almost the same clothes, the difference is mainly the colors.

I don't think that ever happened.

Today is 29th April, the day when the Army of Vietnam finally flushed out the last pockets of treacherous cucks (south Vietnamese) out of their country and the last groups of Americans tailed out and swam back to their country after years of humiliation. The Vietnamese had already defended themselves from multiple invasions, including the French, and after flushing out the Americans and their lackeys, they would go on to the north to fight the US-supported Khmer Rouge, liberate Cambodia and stabilize the region from both Western and Chinese influence.

In tonight’s episode of Doctor Who, they visited the last winter fair on the Thames in 1814. In the episode, there are many black people walking around dressed as though they were landed gentry, you even see one black woman walking around with what appears to be her white husband or partner.
I don’t want to jump the gun and so wish to ask whether or not this was a common sight at that time. I know that slavery wasn’t abolished in the UK until 1833, but I do not know the anything about the number of black people living in the UK or what rights they were afforded (the free ones anyway).
Before I do my own research, I wondered if there was anyone on this board that knew anything about the subject or could point me in the right direction.

Hindenburg was just as autistic. From Wikipedia:
>"For the German people, Hindenburg was an image of strength and power, owing to his 6'5 frame and bearlike physique, a man with courtly, polished manners and military bearing, the very image of a Junker officer, but in fact, Hindenburg as president often broke down in tears when confronted with decisions that required deep thoughts that he was incapable of, and despite his stress on loyalty and keeping one's words, Hindenburg was a selfish man who disregarded his friends and freely broke his promises when keeping his promises proved inconvenient."
>>
>>2732687
>"Hindenburg depended upon his kamarilla for advice for exactly the same reasons that he had depended upon Ludendorff and his staff in World War I, namely he did not know what to do when confronted with difficult decisions and he needed the help of others to resolve a problem."

I need to write a paper on a piece of media (movie) set before 1500. Possible topics include Rome, China, Byzantium, Persia, etc. Only thing I can't do is anything set in India or sub-Saharan Africa because those two regions were not covered. What is a pretty red-pilled movie? I also need to match it up with a scholarly book about that time period.

Why is it that when it comes to religion, people chose to rather use the arguments other people have made instead of studying the subject themselves and making arguments of their own?

>there are a bunch of religions, how can u say urs is the true one?
>Hav u read all the other religions texts before drawing into the conclusion that urs is the right one?

Christianity is by far the most global religion, God want's everyone in the world to worship him, shouldn't his religion be found everywhere? Christianity is the default religion people should go to before wondering what other religion could be the true one. After someone reads a real bible though, it becomes your reference and all other religions text you study are compared to it. If it goes against the bible and it doesn't make any sense, there's no reason to believe something else.

What is your reason for not believing on the bible?

if not
why?
>>
>>2732580
Christianity isn't Catholicism, they don't even take the book they claim to believe in seriously. Look at what they do with all the idols among other things such as their method of baptisms vs the biblical method

Something about you fucking your serving girls in front of your adult son? Or how you let your male slaves fuck female slaves if they pay you? Or how you sell off old and infirm slaves because fuck them?
Gee, I don't know, but I'm sure such an example of traditional Roman morals would have something very important to say.

The Navy has always been a single, national organisation. To defend his realm, Alfred the Great founded the English navy as a large but single unit. For his land forces, he relied on a number of armies supplied by the shires. thus, although not titled as such, the navy was truly 'Royal'. This pattern continued for centuries. The nobles had their own armies which were expected to rally round the sovereign in times of crisis. Indeed, the term 'The Army' did not come into use until the middle of the 17th century, by which time the Royal Navy had been established on a permanent basis for many years.

Who were the closest things to real world superheroes and supervillains in human history? My theory is they existed and we just don't think about them in those terms because they aren't fictional. My list so far:

Superheroes:
>Crazy Horse
>Houdini
>Red Baron
>White Death
>Buddha

Supervillains:
>Unabomber
>Vlad the Impaler
>Pogo the Clown
>Little Boots
>The Manson Family

How did they manage to revive Hebrew and why aren't we doing the same thing with Latin?
36 posts and 2 images submitted.

They revived Hebrew as they had immigrants coming from all over the globe, they needed an official state language for this new society and yiddish did not seem appropriate. Latin would ono take on if you literally FORCED people to learn it, otherwise it'd never work the same way.

Was American civil war really about slaves?
I just find it really hard that the population of northern states would accept sending their sons into death to liberate the blacks, whome they probably viewed as subhumans back then
