MI6 "Q" is a woman.
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/jan/26/the-real-q-is-a-woman-boss-of-mi6-launches-drive-for-female-recruits
This is how i see it:
>>58688731
90% chance that person was born a male.
>>58688731
look at the options:
1. spies don't actually need mad gadgets like in the film, they just need like lipstick and shit to blend in something traditionally a woman would excel at
2. Q doesn't invent shit, just nags at bond for breaking everything. women are bossy and like to nag. perfect fit.
3. boss was lying but its fine nobody would ever find out.
4. woman was hired because muh equality quotas
5. an actual woman who was genuinely interested and capable applied for the position and was hired because she was the best candidate.
so number 5 is probably least believable because in most peoples experience women just aren't interested but that doesn't mean they don't exist and you should feel bad if you think that.
i fucking hope its not a trannie because look they are human and we shouldn't be nasty to them but honestly they are severely fucked in the head and putting them in national security position is asking for trouble

So it's not a female?
What's the current version of LAMP stack
>pic related
In 2006 I did this as a hobby but, I guess, I'm totally out of the loop by now. For example JavaScript is huge right now, and there are no Java applets or flash anymore.
How do I get on track when I want to re-instantiate this hobby, and become a dabbling full stack developer? What are must knows?
>>58688701
linux, nginx, mariadb, php7
it's still perfectly valid, but replace MySQL with MariaDB
>>58688701
the lamp stack is still relevant, would change apache with nginx. apache is >>>/trash/ when it comes to handling dos attacks.
Anyone else using a music player with Rockbox? My iPod 5 is dying (hard drive clicking, dim display and weak battery). I'm thinking about getting a new music player. Should I just put new parts into this one or should I go for something else? Anyone have device or theme recommendations?
All Rockbox-capable players are discontinued by their manufacturers, and the best ones (Clip+, Clip Zip, etc.) are selling for double what they retailed for because these are the end times for popular meme players, and since buying a """new""" one is better than prolonging the inevitable, keep the fact you'll be paying a lot for one in mind
With that said, get a Clip Zip if you don't wanna play Chinese replacement part roulette on everything but the hard drive, it's the Clip+ on steroids, and is somewhat cheaper than the Clip+ because no one memed it into infinity. Throw a $30 128GB microSD, and you're set

I decided to get a new battery and screen, and I'm going to do an SSD upgrade.
Still waiting for the JZ port.
In the meantime, some Sony players are getting ports.
There are so many though I'm not sure which can be ported and which can't.
Best alternatives to Lubuntu? I'm incredibly happy with it, but would like to see the field.
Xubuntu.

That screenshot is from Daily Mash right?
That isn't real?
What gadget have your purchased that makes life bearable, /g/?

>>58688607

Don't all opaque bikinis protect against UV?
>>58688680
They don't even have to be opaque, normal window glass filters like 90% of UV
Also, wouldn't you want a bikini that DOESN'T protect from UV, so that you don't get tanlines?
>>58688695
Tanlines are my fetish.
My next build, good investment?

>1440p monitor
You know those cards actually have terrible SLI scaling at 1440p anon? They often get beaten by two 1070s or two 1080s.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRnvGbK1Ops
Go for 4k monitor or two 1080s.
Also I know /g/ thinks this is supposedly a "meme" build but holy fuck most of them would chop off their feminine penis to get one of these.
>>58688596
Actually upon checking their SLI is shit in any resolution. I literally can't find a game where those cards manage to get a 99% usage.
>>58688596
I rly like that monitor though, what if I just get 2 1080Ti's?
I need help programing something and was told /g/ is smart. How many millions in a billion?
1000 millions
unless you're british, then it's different for some reason
>>58688451

http://www.pcworld.com/article/3162004/windows/pioneer-reveals-the-first-4k-blu-ray-drives-for-pcs.html
>'These drives require a system with a Kaby Lake chip (Core i5 or i7), a minimum 6GB of RAM, and Windows 10—not surprising, as Kaby Lake only officially supports Windows 10. In addition, you need a 4K external display with HDMI 2.0a, as you’d expect. Pioneer’s new Blu-ray players are region locked; however, the region settings can be changed five times throughout the life of the device. The company also says that UHD playback requires the Japanese language version of Windows 10.'

>Hey guys, how can we make sure nobody with a clue ever buys our product?
>I know! Let's make sure only a ridiculously small segment of the market can use it
>And let's make sure it requires ridiculous resources to run
>Also it should be DRM restricted out the ass
USB ports have made disc drives obsolete, and the disc drive makers apparently haven't got the memo yet.
Linux btfo

Is 4chan slow as shit for anyone else? Takes me 20 seconds to make a post, image-hover doesn't work, opening images in new tabs doesn't work. Internet and ping is fine otherwise. Is Comcast throttling my shit or what
Fucking hiroshima selling all the servers
>>58688409
sometimes
just sometimes loading images takes forever and then again it's instant as it has always been
as if the server is just going into sleep mode for a couple secs every now and then
>>58688409
It's your browser.
Images/videos stall and take forever just to begin to load in FF. wget has no such issues.
Therefore, it must be the browser. I'm too lazy to diagnose it yet. I'll do it some time after it starts to bother me.
When I open the catalog or thread I'll see a loading indicator for a split second on the page. Maybe it's Cloudfare.
>Firefox loses yet another high profile add-on author: Quicksaver quits
http://www.ghacks.net/2017/01/28/firefox-add-on-quicksaver-quits/
Why is Mozilla so dead set on killing Firefox? They can't beat Chrome by becoming a cheap Chrome knockoff, and the level of customization was the one thing that always set FF apart.
>>58688364
because they be fucking up and have been.
>>58688364
Good. We don't need cis white males opressing us anyway. Fuck'em.

You gonna carry those tabs?
chrome://tabgroups/content/lastnotice.html
>These are the last updates to my add-ons. They will cease working with Firefox 57 next November. By then hopefully some alternatives appear. My code is up on Github, so anyone interested can fork it. If there's some need for me to do some transition work on your behalf, for instance to migrate users from my add-ons to yours, I'm only an e-mail away.

I have 99 problems, guess how many of them are Firefox related?
>>58688037
Considering you're using an old version of Firefox maintained by a single guy who barely knows what he's doing and apparently doesn't get timely addon updates, I'd say several.
i hope some1 continues it
