It's a Sony on stock ROM most probably. Left topmost icon is Smart Connect app, bloatware which is included by default

Take the test and list what operating system and interface you use
http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php
would be quite interesting to see where /g/ falls and if we can assert certain traits from the systems you use.

So for myself:

Hey anon. Work as IT admin in special school for violent teens. Can anon recommend any sites or places to look for sturdy itx cases that can take an internal psu (tfx or sfx are fine) and also accommodate an internal optical drive if possible (can work around that though)?

The case must be able to take abuse. My idea is to make a solid state, fanless, SOC system that can be easily repaired with off the shelf parts.

Thank you in advance.

Hey /g/,

Recently I haven't been motivated to go to the gym, the guy I used to go to the gym with moved away, and having him was really good, because I felt like a letdown if I didn't go.

I've moved to a more sit down job, and I've lost my muscle, so I was thinking that I could build a little device that sits in the break room at work, like a Raspberry Pi, with a small screen that displays whether I've been or not.

The thing is, I'm just not sure where to start. Can I get some websites or terms to search for? Hiding an RFID tag at the gym is also an option I've just thought about.

I do.
Honestly, don't rely on technology to motivate you.
Motivate yourself.
You're going to feel either a burst of energy or a lack of energy at work depending on whether you went to the gym or not, so you don't need a shitty little motherboard tell you that
>>
You could just set up an hourly geolocation-based alert on your phone to bug you throughout the day. Look to "Tasker" for that.
>>
>>58690421
>>58690440
It's just that embarrassment has always been a fantastic motivator. Otherwise I get lazy, and lie to myself and others.

Basically if my coworkers know, it's that shame associated with it.

Is hardware engineering easier or harder to get into than software?

>>

Harder. Also, any electrical/computer engineer can work as a software engineer if he/she wants. You learn how to code too. It's a much more versatile degree.

What would be still affordable consumer tier hardware, but strong enough to train mediocre neural networks?

If anyone has experience with machine Learning, just how hardware intensive is it?

I started to get into it recently and trained some simpler networks, but now i want more.

How good a programmer are you? How's your math?
>>
>>58690912
Both is decent, but i dont have too much real world experience yet.

Went through math and CS on a prestigious university.

But you dont really need strong math skills to implement machine learning with the correct frameworks right?

I mean all the algorithms are already there, you just have to design the network correctly and adapt it to your problem and even then thats more finetunning/trying different configurations than math.
>>
>>58690072
Depends on what you are doing, how deep your network is etc. You can get a lot of shit done with a modern GPU with 4GB vram. But if you are doing anything serious, you'll need 16GB or more.

Best budget ($100AU~) headphones to use for PS4.
Needs
-Two speakers
-Microphone
-Wireless isn't a necessity but it at least should be able to plug into the PS4 controller
-Decent audio but not expecting too much for the price

Thinking pic related for $70AU

The only gaymen headset worth a shit is the hyperx cloud.

Do yourself a favor anon and get a nice pair of cans and a separate mic.
Phillips SHP9500 is well regarded (if you want open) and works with a boom pro mic.

the hyperx cloud core is available for $90AU, how would that be compared to the plantronics?

Pretty different, they're closed and tuned for gaming so there's a bass boost, they sound good though.

Big heads beware, they don't extend much.

poster IDs are actually pretty useful though. tripping doesn't really mean anything, but it's an extra step for someone to be like, well, you're just samefagging and the posts that i'm not replying to that i can't respond to are all tripfagged. easier for anons to cherry-pick and go after the dumbest person that disagrees with them. it's worth it to me if even any of those anons honestly think they're arguing with a single person.

anyway, this thread is about cock.li getting no money and dying, which is kind of a bummer

The Apple iPhone 7 Plus doesn't have this problem.

Ok serious question as I don't know if this works...
does simply transferring all the files on your phone to your computer count as a 'backup' that can be moved back on the phone?
Main concern is for all the apps and app data, due to a glitch I think I have to do a factory reset and I really don't want to lose all my data.
11 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
No.

Do you have root?
>>
Of course not.
Apps and their data are mostly stored in the data Partition which can't be accessed by computers.
>>
Install a custom recovery like TWRP and do a backup through that.
