I want to know your worst opinion of them. I'm slowly starting to hate games myself but value your opinion on the matter.

Gamers suck, games are fine though.
Though I can't be assed to buy into this console gen because there hasn't been a worthwhile new IP or entry to any of my favorite franchises in nearly 10 years.

Anyone who tells you games are a waste of time are just trying to fit in, or they're a weakminded "former addict" who literally cannot approach the topic without lashing out.
You can see this in action when they reply with smug anime girls.
Anime is just as bad as vidya, if not worse.

I never used Linux but I decided to go full-gentoo right away. So I am now emerging the whole gnome-desktop profile. How long would it take more or less with an old SSD (160 mb /s write), an i5 and 8 gb ram? Its running since 2 hours now

My CPU recently started cutting out due to high temperatures, it seems to "spike" randomly which pushes it above the trigger threshold and shuts my PC down.

What could be causing this?

whats a good bench for cpus?

something that would show differences between low tier, middle tier and high tier cpus.

I am dealing with some low tier notebooks, and recently the low priced offering started to all have the 4 core pentiums, more similar to Atom SoC, rather than cut down i3 cpus, like the previous pentiums were.

And I feel it being slow when I am installing shit on them and setting them up, but I would like specific numbers rather than just feeling that firefox took extra 4 seconds to startup.

for gpus I love unigin valley, it does not feel bias and gives good idea of performance of cards.

what would you recommend that you used? cinebench? geekbench? javascript sunspider?
>>
>>60055622
what are your regular temps? cuz wtih i5 6600k and old hyper 212+ I am under 30°C, so spikes in load would have to be extreme to put it above 90 or whenever it shuts down

but if you fly at 50-60 at idle...
anyway, reinstall os

Except English is poorly structures and overcomplicated, relies on contradictions and is a rip off German.
Also everything runs on top of assembly yet German is not a Latin based language. Your picture is rather wrong. Fucking Google shit before you post.
>>
>>60055438
No it isn't right, German does not come from Latin, and C runs on top if assembly like most things.
>>
No, of course not, but I don't care enough to write a whole post criticizing the topical treatment of "coding" by non technical writers.

This isn't even accurate from a natural languages standpoint.

Do programmers with 2 years experience copy and paste code?

Most programmers cut and paste code: FACT. In a professional environment there is no such thing as copy/pasting, we call that "asset reuse".

They might find a previous project or something online and copy/paste it exactly or copy/paste and make changes to it. I think this practice is typically fine. This is especially good when it is proven code.

Where this can be bad, is when you are copying code that you don't understand, or where the code is poor, or where there is a much better alternative solution than the code that you are pasting.

>>
What is even the point of this thread? I've been programming for 20 years, I copy and paste code every day. From my own code, from google, from internal company code.
>>
Copy pasting GPL code into a non-free project is literally illegal.
