If any moment would be excellent for adding in (Christian) black nobility (because they'd have to funds to flee the muslim hordes and live in Christian lands ~Europe~) it's the middle ages.

Hey /co/ just learned that in pre-COIF continuity Darkseid is strictly an Earth-1 character. I haven't read enough comics from this era to know who the "big-bad" of Earth-2 is. Is there a clear answer?

I just finished reading this and I haven't exactly read that many comics to begin with in my life. Let me ask this very simple question: What in the hell is up with this ADHD pace?

But it gives you no time to retain anything at all. Massive events happen at the drop of a hat with no explanation and new characters emerge without any lead up at all. Hell, if I want to actually finish the story and get closure I apparently have to read all of the other 2099 series, then read 2099 Manifest Destiny on top of another 2099 series that has everyone in it, and it still barely explains how certain events took place.
Hell, they kept adding in characters from different series you're expected to know about like every three issues and then build massive plot points around them.

THIS IS NOT A COMPANY WAR THREAD, and fuck anyone who thinks otherwise.
Even though current Marvel leaves a lot to be desired in regard to the content of the stories, when I read their comics I genuinely feel how everything takes placed in a "lived in", populated world, if that makes any sense. There's this big interconected network of characters with a vast history between them and the world feels big and it's enriched by it. Marvel's problem is nothing that can't be solved by just putting good writers on the titles again.
DC felt exactly the same before 2011. Not anymore. It feels empty and... lame. Characters don't have histories, and are just empty templates. And that makes me mad as fuck considering how much I loved DC before Flashpoint. It was pretty much my favorite fictional universe. Even though Rebirth sucedeed in bringing back a more classic feel, it still doesn't feel the same. New 52 sacrificed everything and it didn't do anything significative to replace what was lost, they didn't a coherent and significant world building and characterization. Just back and forth between story directions to see what sticked, and in the end... nothing really did. I'm sorry if you started to read with New 52, but it's just a pale shadow of what the DC universe used to be. That's just the reality of it and if you think otherwise you're just deluding yourself.

What cartoon has the best intro /co/? I feel like a lot of 90s/200s one's gave some glorious and badass themes, yet they became lacking around the 2010s, only newer cartoon intro I'm into is OK KO's. Pic related was probably one of the best superhero cartoon intros.
