What are the species of spiders with the violin pattern that AREN'T brown recluses?
I have many of these fiddle-backed spiders in my home. I counted 34 on the west wall of my attached garage alone yesterday while cleaning it from top to bottom, and there were many, many more scattered around the rest of the garage. Every square inch on the bottom of a shelf had at least one egg sac, which looked like pic related (not my photo). I live in Kansas, and my spiders look identical to the brown recluse photos I've seen online, and seem to behave the same, as well.
However, I can't see the eyes of the spiders to conclusively confirm they're brown recluses, so I'd like to know what the other species are and compare with them.
They're probably brown recluse, anon. I too live in KS. Wichita.
I hope there's not a plant general, because I didn't see one.
I have this poor-ass rose planted in the garden, but it's not getting the attention there that it deserves. It's been there for maybe 2-3 years, after having grown up in a 50x50cm pot for about a year. I'm thinking about returning it to the pot and leaving it in its former place where I can see it daily both for maintenance as well as pleasure.
Is this feasible? Do you think the roots are too big for the pot now?
The roots are very likely too big for the pot, yes.
However, if it has not grown much since you have planted it, you could probably just cut the extra roots and return it to the pot, without doing much damage to it. Keep the pot in the same shady place it is now though, until it starts to show some growth.

>Do you think the roots are too big for the pot now?
yup, you'd have to lose some roots to get it back in the pot. you could do a cutting and put that somewhere you can see it.
Should there be another genocide for Canada geese?

Has anyone been in an extreme weather event? Are there any storm chasers here? I've only sat in basements waiting out tornado warnings when I lived in Michigan as a kid. Saw mesocyclones in action a couple times. Spooky at the time, but now I just want to get out to tornado alley and experience it again.
What does this have to do with animals?
>>2458315
Nothing
It is relevant to nature however.

Would it be possible to do an aquascape and have mice on the land?
If it is a huge, long tank, could you make the bottom half into a proper aquarium, and have enough land on the upper bit to house a pair of mice? What problems might arise? And also, would the mice eat any plants you try to have?
>>2455714
Yeah, anything is possible.
Enjoy your mice learning how to swim and eating everything else in the tank.
Not to mention their shit and piss turning the water into a glorified septic tank.
But if you can figure out how to avoid those two problems then I don't see why not. Maybe some kind of divider? Like, create a rock wall by supergluing pebbles together, but have little plexiglass windows in it, maybe?
So yeah, have all the fish and live plants be on one side of the divider, then have a little wooden/plastic/stone "village" on the other side for the mice.
Just make sure the divider goes all the way up to the cover on the tank, so they don't simply climb over it. And make sure to have plenty of ventilation on the side of the tank with the mice.
