Take her to the vet to make sure it isn't going to kill her and then get a heat lamp. Birds, if sick, lose the ability to regulate their body temp. I have one that I clamp to their cage and all three of my birds take their spot under it each night because they love the extra heat

i know of a 9 year old Chihuahua that is being abused by neglegence right now. her owner ironically works as kindergarden teacher.

the dog has to eat from the floor, is never loved or being petted, hasnt been to the vet in 3 years, is being beaten for shitting inside,but the owner never takes her outside. She has it bad right now.

me and the gf looked after her for a couple of days because we want to adopt her. a friend of the owner who is very good with dogs took her in for 4 weeks while the owner went on holiday. she took her to the vet, had an ear fungus, trimmed her nails, gave her a bath and trained her on the leash. she really didnt want to give the doggo back, i said we could say, since the dog was never registerred or has any papers, that i ran her over with my car. the owner couldt care less about the dog. but the friend like thw gutmensch she is wanted to talk the owner into giving up the dog. the owner refused out of spite. and not for love of the animal.

a ftiend of mine who has been following up on that story works with therapeutic dog therapy and he is very close to the vet the dog was taken to for a checkup now have informed the police of the abuse and neglegence. if all goes well my friend takes custody of the dog and we can adopt her.

How hard is the storm going to hit you? Is there any shelter near by safe for them they could duck into?

If they are smaller ducklings then they are pretty much fucked. They always end up getting blown away or washed down storm drains. I'd say round them up if you can just until the blunt of it passes but don't bother if you can't get the mom.
