Is vaseline on dogs paws a thing? I walk my doggo on the beach a lot and his pawpads are dry and cracked but is this problem for him? he doesn't seem to mind at all
Vaseline is shit for moisturizing. Look for lotion designed for dog paws, or look at the ingredients in dog lotion to find the same thing under a different name. Don't specifically go for any human lotion or it will soften the pads too much and make it painful for him to walk.
Really, just get some doggy boots. If his pads are too dry they crack open and bleed. Beaches have a lot of little stones that will get caught in his skin, cause pain and get infected. Rough pads are fine as long as they aren't too bad or cracked. Too soft and it's also a problem. Doggy boots will fix all of this. Dog paws aren't meant for walking on hard, stone surfaces or beaches for long periods of time. Doggy boots also will help his feet in the winter or blistering surfaces in summer.

Save the money on Vaseline and lotions and just get him fitted for horseshoes now. You'll thank me later.
if he doesn't mind wearing them, booties work wonders
Why don't we use animals in warfare?
Like parachute a ton of trained armed monkeys into Syria, or I don'tknow parachute a bunch of cats with suicide vests into ISIS held territory?
Or like they used to do in olden days, they would catapult a dead rotting pig fetus infected with the plague or something into a town. Why don't we just start dropping dead diseased pigs into enemy territory?

Are you stupid? Genuinely curious.
>why don't we use animals in warfare?
We do, faggot.
>>2477309
Wouldn't it save human lives to have animal soldiers instead?
Who /minischnauzer/ here?

Pic related is our family's schnauzer.
Not pictured is our two poodles and yorkiepoo.

Pic's mine, she's great. Really loud, though we've been able to quiet her down with some training.
I have a giant schnauzer. He is very quiet unless he growls... Which is deep and scary af. He is very powerful and can hurt me when he is in play mode, but very loyal and somewhat needy of my attention. I lurves hims!
They truly have lots of energy.
Do you guys like pigeons?
>>2476549
I love seeing them when I go downtown. I used to get them to eat out of my hands when I was a kid.
I like the different breeds of domesticated pigeons though.

What is with the "recent" trend for these disease ridden monsters?
With how prone to diseases, death and their fucking eyeballs popping out of their heads, it leaves me wondering if these things were bred intentionally by vets, to rack up massive amounts of bills.
Or jews, whatever you prefer.
what a cute doggo

Normies have shit taste. Nothing new.
Crows and ravens are exceptionally intelligent. There can be little doubt that they have the greatest ingenuity and overall intelligence relative to brain size in the entire animal kingdom.
If someone bred crows to be kuch higger, would their intelligence also increase, not limited by tiny brains?

g-guys, i just noticed that my doggo leg have this thing. I'm going to get him to the vet tomorrow anyway, but I'm scared shitless for my bro. It doesn't hurt him when i touch it, but i'm not sure.
What could it be and please tell me he's going to be alright.
The good news is he isn't in immediate danger so chill out.
The other good news is that there is a shit ton of different things it could be, and most are treatable or benign.
The bad news that it COULD be malignant but even if it is he isn't going to drop dead right this second.
It can be difficult to tell if something hurts a dog or not, they've an incredibly high pain threshold compared to us.
Having said that however, you're doing the right thing and he's not going to get worse tonight. Keep yourself calm, keep him calm and fingers crossed.
I hope it goes well for you and your dog.

is it dangerous / unethical to teach your dog to growl on command?
>>2479380
The first one is performing commands. He's been taught to do that. He's not actually upset, and the behavior is controlled.
The second one seems to be exhibiting possessive behavior. It's genuine, not a trick, and not controlled.
It's not unethical to teach dogs to growl or bark on command. Why would it be?
>>2479380
the real question is why you are training your dog to do that?
To protect your child/family/friends?
or just to scare people?
Hey /an/ it's my dogs birthday today. He turned 3
Looks like a good boy.
Get him a nice treat.
