I think I should also mention that a couple nights after researching the third eye, I had a very strange experience that I can only describe as sleep paralysis. I was falling asleep and had what felt like 2 "attacks" on my mind from something behind me, the second attack coming in quick succession after the first. It went away after I actively "steeled" my mind - additionally, I think I heard an irritated voice saying it'll get in, but I feel this is something I added into my memory of the experience.

You know how you can percieve depth?
Well, it's that, but with insight and training.

Your brain has evolved to percieve depth.(for spearfishing probably)

This depth that is percievable is a really deep thing.

Try and percieve the depth of a dark space, and then you see stuff happening.

This stuff that's happening is what people english vernacular call "deep" as in "that's deep bro"

You can understand depth if you try hard enough and also not try much at all.

The third eye is about more than True/false it's about seeing true as a side effect of false and vice versa.

Pretend for a moment that this has no seeekrit powers behind it.

Just that you can see behind falsehood to see truth, by understanding where it's distorted.

A good example of this is spearfishing.
You can see that light is bent a certain way, to project a false image, this same false image can be used, by a skilled person, to find the true (I;e the fish that you can stab amd eat).

The third eye is about learning from falsehood, to find truth. It's about depth perception.

It's about "deep shit" it's about knowing that light creates illusions, but illusions are allusions to the truth.

Truly understanding the third eye can make you think about deep stuff for all of time, or you can use it to catch a fish (vital truth).

You can use it for your benefit, or your detriment, you can use it to discern if someone is lying, because everything is lying on a firm surface of causal reality.

You can use it to tell that the news is lying, and what they lie about, and from there you can stab a fish with your pointed stick, or trident whatever.

It's like meta-logic.

Light bends on the surface of water, but while immersed, you can see a clear picture. But from above something you can't understand it fully.

To understand you must be on the same level.
To open the third eye, is to know about the illusions of depth, and the way light bends.

If you mean manifesting through thoughts this is something I believe in. Ive been practising it now for a few months and am seeing results. Its feels like a slow process but what you're doing is changing deeply held beliefs, beliefs that go right down to the core of your soul. It takes dedication to keep at it everyday.

I would suggesting googleing 'manifesting through thoughts' and variations of that and have a good look around. Also read the book 'Feel the fear and do it anyway', it touches on the subject in a non-magical/mystic/spiritual way.

Magical thinking is seeing structure and symbolism in everyday life. When I was more religious, I would see street lights turning off very often when I was out at night. I decided that there was something to that. Like something was communicating with me.

Another example, you are sick. You go to a church, there is a laying on hands, and people pray for you. You feel like you have God watching over you and you get better.

People do it naturally.

People might attribute a ghost or a spirit to something like constantly losing their keys.

A lot of the ideas with chaos magic (/x/ is hyped on chaos magic right now) work with that. Under scientific if you can harness things like ritual to create a placebo effect, then you can will things to happen. There is real mental power in ritual, and there is power in belief.

I do honestly think that the more magical thinking/spiritual you become, the more you can connect with some sort of spiritual world. Magical thinking is tied in with symbolism and is part of art, and music and being human. We aren't robots, and we aren't all scientist, everything absolutely doesn't have to make scientific sense.
