I mean I can understand wanting a BD to watch. Isn't there a way you can take the scripts from Horriblesubs and slap them on some BD raws? It might take some adjustments but otherwise wouldn't that work?

From what I saw of that game, it seems to be heavily based off of Final Fantasy Tactics. So definitely give that a lick. I haven't played it, but the amount of units and the way people talk about the story make it sound amazing.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is great as well. A lot of people hate the Law system, so you might not like it. I enjoyed it though.

And there's Final Fantasy Tactics A2, which everyone just seems to hate. I haven't played that one, so I don't know if it's good or not. Give it a try or don't.

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (on the PSP) is fantastic. People love it probably just a little bit less than the original Final Fantasy Tactics.

There's also the entire Fire Emblem franchise for more SRPGs, but I haven't played any, so I can't really say anything more than that people like them.

And then I realized you wanted RPGs in general. I'll just list from here, then:

Try the updater version first, then if that doesn't work the factory restore.

If it won't factory restore, then it is fucko'd.

Note : I can always get it to successfully dualboot. I've currently got Ubuntu installed while using win 7 so maybe that could help?

Wireless can be magical at times, though I've had easier times with Linux than Windos.

Try making a wired connection, it might want some odd firmware.

The router is across the house. Not really an option for me. The only time I'm able to make a wireless connection is during installation, before I hit "install now". It won't even try to connect. After installation, I can't change anything. Either it's locked in the log-in screen or there's nothing there when I'm logged in.
