I scrolled down likw 2 inches on the page and to paraphrase the source material it's to do with the (technically unintentional) embodiment of something called feminist human-computer interaction, apparently because Ao3 was primarily designed and coded by women, informed by existing values and norms around issues such as accessibility, inclusivity, and identity, to host and share works primary created and consumed by women. The article that discusses it actually sounds kind of interesting but it's $15 to download so I guess we'll never know.

Anyway, it's definitely the best place for fic.

I did like the viewer statistic page more than Ao3 stat page though, plus readers always seemed to be more responsive. I think Ao3 super convenient design/search function + *typically* better quality writing encourages people to like power through ten fics in a row without commenting/liking/whatever. I remember back in my day before the FF NSFW purge, you'd spend an hour scrabbling through the dirt for one (1) not shit fic and by god, you'd demolish that comment box out of pure gratitude.

I only like 2 or 3 DA pairings and 1 ME pairing, and they aren't LGBT, so they're not super common in fanfic land. It's entirely possible for me to find <100 fanfics on the entirety of the site that match the pairing tags I pick. So sorting isn't too time consuming

Really, the only frustrating thing is when authors use the tagging system incorrectly. This goes for both sites

You say this but each Dragon Age game has had worse and worse sales. DA:I made less than DA2 even thought it was on over double the hardware, and DA2 only made about 1/3rd what DA:O did.
Mass Effect isn't looking to hot either with such subpar preorder numbers at least on Amazon (claims to be a top preorder when Tekken 7 is out performing it). With just a month away they haven't sold out of any of their collector sets. To give context most other titles out this year with collector sets are already sold out.

Accept that didn't make sales? Dragon Age 2 was the most "fuck what you want" and it crash in sales after week two. Geldauran is one of these gods and it's evident how he perfectly knows that the Evanuris were just liars, not real gods, that used people's fears to rule over them.

That doesn't make much sense. If that's true, then we would be dealing with an entire army of crazy "gods" and Solas would have mentioned the existence of another set of "deities" locked away.

The Forgotten Ones were probably the Forbidden Ones who stayed in the Fade after their exile and became full spirits/demons after the Veil got them stuck in the Fade forever.

Later they contacted humanity and taught them blood magic (blood magic = elven origins) and just made havoc here and there (see Imshael, who knows Felassan and Solas and rejoices when he hears that the Veil will be destroyed and there will be more chaos in the world).

The Evanuris are those locked in the Black City, which is probably Tainted, filled with part of the Blight that the Evanuris took from the Titans' bodies and that they were using as a weapon.

That's their "eternity of suffering", their punishment. The Evanuris tried to speak to humanity pretending to be new deities (the Old Gods, dragons sleeping underground that Mythal had put there as a bait against the Titans' Blight).

They lured Corypheus and the others into the Black City to finally be freed or perhaps to just unleash the Blight onto Thedas again.

That "They sleep, hurting, hiding in a mirror, and to wake them..." that Cole says while reading Solas' mind after the break up with Lavellan is probably referring to the ancient elves in uthenera, Solas' army ready to wake up and help him with his plan.

I think they are different ancient elven groups. The Forbidden Ones were literal who, Elven deserters that later got exiled by the Evanuris. They just taught the Tevinter mages how to use blood magic. 3 of the 4 got killed by HoF and the Inquisitor with no trouble.

The Forgotten Ones fought against the Evanuris. They are a big group, almost god-like, 'trapped' in the Black City. They helped the 7 ancient magisters invade the Black City. Don't ask me how they did that while 'trapped', they are connected to the darkspawn taint itself.

It was not the Old dragon gods (Old Gods) or the Evanuris who lured the magisters to invade the Black City, they were the Forgotten Ones speaking through the Taint.

There are 7 Old dragon gods revealed thus far, 4 of them killed by the hands of the Grey Wardens, 5th ones soul saved in Keiran. Each of the 7 Old gods are soul-linked to the 7 trapped Evanuris, which makes their soul immortal. The 8th Old God, Mythal's dragon is somewhere in the Silent Groove. I guess Solas has one too because his soul is immortal? I don't know.

so i finished inquisition and trespasser
inquisition has basically the same plot as origins but the conclusion is just so much less compelling(trespasser conclusion is gud though even if it's sequel bait)
i think this is because you spent origins arming yourself and at the end the evil dude is just as strong as he was at the start when he murdered everyone, but in inquisition you spend half the game arming yourself and half the game disarming blighty mccrystals
so, at the end of origins it feels like you've finally managed to reach a specific height(kicking a dragon in the dick, even if you killed two others already), but at the end of inquisition it was just 'you already lost, corypheus, please fuck off'

it's probably not helped by corypheus failing at everything that he tries to do, though

Solas and Cole both are great. Cassandra, Dorian and Blackwall (kinda).

Sword-shield playstyle just feels slow, chasing enemies as they run away, doing pathetic damage. It is more of a tank class.

Archery is all about holding R, it improves once you get the specializations, but overall boring.

If you're playing a mage you'd better get Cassandra/Blackwall and a damage dealer like Varric/Cole/Bull and another mage to act as a support like Solas or Dorian.

For banter I find Cassandra/Bull/Dorian very amusing. Basically anyone with Dorian is amusing for that matter.
