I agree. The older Megaten fans used to find all this untranslated media and kind of cling to it. They'd power through Japanese games and sometimes even learn the language, without bitching about games not coming out in English. It's why Soul Hackers used to be so hyped up. Luckily the hype was mostly justified.

But now a lot of it has gone missing because these old forums and BBSes are gone and nobody really archived or collected all the material.

The problem is that the first turns are very vital before the demons overrun the area, so I have MC to attack him and block his way, and Yuzu as backup, the problem is that after 3 or 4 tries the RNG still fucks me over and I either kill him, he escapes and drags the battle forever, or Mari fucking dies; I guess I will change my strategy again and give Atsuro that Animal Leg, +Stone, and a demon with Petra.

I would use red/blue for chaos/law demons. Then each class of the pieces (peon, tower, bishop, etc.) represented by one demon. For instance, in the law demons, Angel would be the peon and the 4 heralds would be either bishop/tower/etc.

It's fine. Mostly in D&D, the game master has total control of the board and everything around it. The game master is the one that hides items, monsters and traps.

So, having two game masters is what makes moon phases difficult. But. I'm sure that we can implant it like you said.

I'd prefer an easy/cheap solution to realize it that uses the original pixel art, i.e. something that doesn't involve learning to sculpt, but haven't come up with anything so far. These sprites are way too large for perler beads.

For instance, as long as the Moon is going from New to Full, X and Y demons can appear and while the moon goes from Full to Moon, those can't appear but Z and W can appear. As a last ditch solution, that could definitely work.

I'm considering looking into having metal or plastic cut/3D printed into ~1/4 to 1/3 inch thick outlines of the sprites, onto which the images could be applied somehow. Could get pricey but I think it would present nicely.

But my image for an SMT tabletop game would be along the lines of forming your alignment and fighting it out with your late buddies to rule Tokyo as Law, Chaos or Neutral.

The other issue is whether to do the SMT 1-3 themed sets or purely Strange Journey ones. So many good things to utilize there, from the various ships for neutral rooks, Gore, Pillar Zelenin, Mastema, Soil Jimenez as royalty on their respective sides, etc.

From what I understand, experiments or phenomena (STEVEN's teleportation system, the Shwartzwelt, etc) can link the material world to another plain of existence were human thoughts become reality. Demons are manifestations of these human thoughts drawn from this expanse.

Meanwhile in Persona, traditional demon manifestations are capable of handing over tarot cards that Philemon/Igor can smith into Persona, which are a manifestation of the masks people wear to overcome hardship blah blah psychology whatever.

Any demon manifestations that aren't specifically invoked by a teen/young adult screaming "PERSONA!!" are Demons (ie Izanami, Ishtar, etc). Everything else is a demon.

It's varied from game to game and so has the nature of the Expanse. So don't take it as absolute fact that applies to all games, as there have been plenty of things in the franchise that are not the product of specific human belief, their collective unconsciousness, or the expanse.

It's easy to forget what he says if you don't like him, but it's a combination of his shitty life and watching corruption around him that made him want a meritocracy.

Being born into his position meant he still struggled far worse than your average commoner and the only reason nobody considers him a child soldier is because people associate them with starving third worlders, but he might as well be considered one. You could say he did work for his position and had to sacrifice everything because of it. He even says himself in his route that he's a result of the flawed system that allows shit like that to happen with nobody questioning it.

Do I need a particularly good PC to emulate Raidou?

What are the required specs to run it in a decent way.

Which is better? Devil Survivor or Devil Survivor 2? Honestly I think 2 is way better. The characters had way more growth than the first one.

Ganesha is often considered a "second in command" type god underneath the hindu top gods. So his location makes sense if you consider YHVH a composite figure. In II, the dragon he gives lucifer is based on a world dragon vishnu rides, and vishnu was law in I, so it could be an implication. But it seems odd to only throw in an elephant head of all the choices. At least if there was another obvious thing it would make more sense.

Devil Survivor 1 was a lot better. I liked a lot of the characters in the second game and the plot for the first seven days wasn't bad, but they where all implemented horribly. Also Atsuro was better than Daichi. The implementation of DeSu 1's plot was great.
