I just heard there was an anon here who decrypted his SMT IV ROM and dumped some stuff here. My firmware is too high, and I don't know anyone with a lower firmware, so I can't generate the XORpad necessary to decrypt it.

If that anon is here, would you mind putting your decrypted ROM up for download? I've been wanting to explore SMT IV innards for months now but to no avail. In return, I can post some pictures from any of the SMT IV Japanese guides, manga, or OST that you want to see, though I'm afraid I don't know how to speak Japanese that well.

Give me more Expel and Death skills that aren't one-hit kills. Having the one-hit kills themselves exist is fine, but then you get to enemies whose only weaknesses are Expel or Death, and the only way to exploit that is either a spell that's otherwise so inaccurate as to be worthless or a special move that only comes on one demon that's either six levels above where you are right now or that you haven't gathered all the fusion components for yet. Meanwhile, having Violet Flash and Radiance in Nocturne made it possible to exploit demons' weakness to Expel while still having them be somewhat useful spells against demons with neutral resistance.

SMT IV talks a lot about having to eat demon meat to survive. In Toyosu/Tennozu (always mix those up) a few hunters talk about how strange it is that the residents managed to survive without being able to kill demons for their meat. Of course, that's because their meat came from... other sources.

Once you realize that Tokyo can't grow food/livestock due to no sun, and that they have to kill and eat demons to live, you don't see demons as all that bad. Traditionally, even in SMT, demons were always the "scary evil human eaters" but when humans are doing the same back it seems like demons do it not because they can but because they have to.

Speaking of magnetite/magatsuhi, is it safe to say that 'mag' is something like solidified human emotion? SMTIV has reds, which are farmed from people's brain matter and supposedly give a kind of kick similar to intellectual stimulation, neurishers in Infernal Tokyo supposedly give out more food if their emotions are worked up, and demons themselves pretty much come from the human unconsciousness.

Almost up to law-route in SMTIV, after this I'll be able to 100% my compendium. I always end up doing this in any SMT game, filling the compendium. Even if it means dillydallying in the final dungeon. I also started trying to get one of every armor for fashion purposes.

#FE is even more weeb than most of the Vita's library, I guarantee that kind of game will never sell a million units, no matter how heavily it's marketed. I honestly don't think Nintendo are going to bother marketing it.

I just got back from killing the black rider. Because he is the least threatening fiend in SMTIV, and because it's thematically appropriate, I wondered how much money I could get back if I fundraised him. It's not that easy, m8. There are already people that can put it into the game. The problem is that the translation needs to be matched to the in-game script and DebiSama, the original translator, disappeared and the people on the project don't know any type of Japanese to match the translation.

Without DebiSama, they'd have to find someone else willing to match all of that text to the script and I can't imagine anyone would take the time to do that.

Not to mention demon negotiations aren't translated either.
