Not much news at the moment? Neverwinter Nights is free on GOG and some mods are /u/. Youtubers Life is in a humble bundle and has some lesbian options. Love Ribbon has a page on Steam but no release date yet.

If I had some Nutaku gold, what games would /u/ recommend? I already got Negligee and was thinking Sakura Fantasy or maybe Sacrament of the Zodiac. I'm into more lighthearted/lewd stuff so Ne No Kami looked a bit too serious but maybe I'm misreading it

I'd imagine anyone who actually likes gameplay would balk at trying to play something as simplistic and grindy as Sakura Dungeon. And I don't really mean grindy in the 'you need to grind' way, but rather that level-difference is EVERYTHING to this game's difficulty and other than rare/expensive stat-boost items you only improve through leveling up rather than, say, items or talents or whatever.

Anyway, I think it's a good thing they showed Joel in the teaser, I feared they could have paired her with a new young male character.
At least there's a chance she could find herself a new girlfriend along the way and settle down with her in the ending (tough, since that world is pretty grim, she could easily ending up with an horrible death, expecially since she already survived the first game by miracle).

But anyway I'd be surprised if they both make it to the end alive again seeing how many deaths the first game had.
Ellie dying while Joel survives could be too grim even for this game since it would kill off every hope left; on the other end Joel dying in order to save Ellie would be the easiest path, but it is way too cliche, so who knows.

I think it's more likely they're going to go down the good ol' "<some group> did <some bad things>, so people died, including those who were dear to main characters" path. Although dead people in the trailer were pretty generic and didn't look like anyone in particular. Perhaps she and Joel settled down with some other survivors, and somebody raided their house.

It would be interesting if there was some mind fuckery with dead Joel involved, but I'm not sure if they could pull it off. Spec Ops: The Line did something similar, didn't it?

I love the ending of the first game because, even though it's not that original, it's shocking enough. Because you don't expect that kind of grey ending in a video-game. A lot of people hate it because it's morally ambiguous.
So it'll be hard to make an ending with that much impact that's not expected again this time.

I think Ellie having to kill Joel (and actually doing it) would be an option.

Just finished Nurse Love Addiction. Kaede's route is so normal compared to the other wild 3.

I was totally expecting Kaede to be one of the researchers at the old facility. It doesn't have to be super dramatic like the other 3. Just give her some connection to the bigger plot would have made it less jarring.

I'm hopelessly attracted to both Sakuya and Kyouko. While they have different personalities, their elegance and condescending manner of speech are identical and oh so appealing. The true end made me the happiest. Nao is an equally strong character, cute yet clever, devoted yet dangerous, too bad her endings are underwheling. Itsuki is so-so, but her ending is the most fun.

Don't try to make sense out of anime original endings. It only adapts for like 10 episodes. The OVA backpaddles, because the manga ends differently. It's silly. Not that the OVA backpaddles. I would love to play a gay married woman (and widow) with an adopted son, but I find mods to be a long time coming. With a spouse of both gender already being in-game I would have expected a same-sex mod start to be something relatively straightforward, but the available mods end up cutting a lot of content in the intro and prologue to make it work. Either the more knowledgeable and competent modders aren't really interested in trying that or these first scenes are hard-coded in a way that make them difficult to mod.

Well, a conversation in the Far Harbor dlc makes a strong case for the Sole Survivor being a synth. It doesn't confirm it one way or another, leaving it to the player to decide. It's not much, but it leaves at least a little more roleplaying wiggle room, and I tend to roll with it, because it makes for a more interesting story.

Small consolation, though. Fallout 4 is a complete train wreck on every conceivable level. It makes Fallout 3 look like a masterpiece in comparison.

Got Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code on steam recently for non-/u/ reasons, forgot how often gals in the nasuverse tend to be gay/bi.

Pic related is Sion and Riesbyfe. Is there anywhere with more information on the nature of their relationship? All I learned from playing Riesbyfe's arcade is that she is clearly gay and that I may have a fetish for lesbian knights with pilebunker cellos.

Speaking of Fate/Extra series, I just recently finished CCC after putting it off for longer than it deserves.

If anyone who can speak a bit of Japanese is on the fence about picking it up, just do it and play it. You won't regret it.

I don't think CCC will ever get localized, what with PSP development dead. It doesn't help that CCC has nearly pure VN level of text volume. On the other hand, CCC has most of its major dialogues voiced unlike Extra, so you'll be able to understand major plot points with only a bit of Japanese.

I just wanted BB to be happy. ;_; I almost had a heart attack when BB gave the widest smile in the whole game and confessed to the MC at the end of the CCC route while sacrificing herself for the last time.

I love Extra servants, but I can't bring myself to take the normal/servant routes after seeing the CCC end.

These games are always going to be more common because you can pop out cookie-cutter games at a much faster rate than you can create anything unique and story-focused. So we're currently in a transition from having very little yuri at all to having a bunch of quickly-pumped-out stuff trying to cash in, with still probably the same amount of people trying to make serious works.

Seems bare minimum this thing is going to be heavy as hell on the subtext. I mean Gust already makes games with subtext (Atelier) and full gay (NoA) and now they are making a game with magical girls which itself is usually automatically gay by default, and they they went and made the emotions and feelings between characters an actual mechanic and part of gameplay it seems.

Will also be interesting to see what level of dark it is, since we have corrupted as fuck looking kaiju attacking the real world, and at least one of them resembles a biblical angel.

I really hope this game is good. Magical Girl Yuri Persona with a few dashes of weird sounds like exactly what I would be into. It looks niche as fuck though, like the kind of thing you would have a hard time recommending to anyone not already into magical girls.
