I've already seen Seven Samurai. What are some other essential films?
>>79521086
Yojimbo
Sanjuro
Rashomon
Hidden fortress
Throne of blood
Basically any kurosawa samurai film. Theres more outside of him but i dont have the list with me
Harakiri by Masaki Kobayashi is also another great samurai kino. I mean you just have to look around the sixties and seventies japanese films. I think samurai were like their version of cowboys

Musashi Miyamoto Trilogy
>My name is Isaac Schrader and you can go fox yourself

That's what Vince wanted you to think, this is called character development.
>he looks up ending explanations
Name 6 times
>he looks for authorial intent rather than using film as a conduit for his own ideas

I do it because I have no one to discuss it with after the movie, it's good to see if someone has different viewpoints.
Let start out by saying I don't care for capeshit. The last capeshit film I saw was Age of Ultron, and it was so mediocre it turned me off the genre - along with the memes here and the capeshit worship on reddit.
So I gave Batman v Superman a chance. It wasn't anything revelatory, but it was a solid 2.5 hours worth of entertainment. I particularly enjoyed that Batman didn't give a fuck and straight up used guns. I found Wonder Woman to be fairly attractive. Thought WB busted their nut on Doomsday too early though, and while the Martha thing wasn't as big a deal as the spergs here made it out to be, it was still super gay. Why didn't Superman just hold Batman in place over the city and calmly explain what happened? Why was Superman's first reaction in almost every situation to punch first and ask questions later? How did Lex Luthor find out Batman and Superman's identities? The parademons in the dream sequence looked weirdly out of place, and that's in a movie about two picture book characters fighting each other and saying the name Martha over and over.
Minimal quippage was a plus. That Flash looked dumb as fuck but at least he's not some set piece in a teen soap opera like the other one. Aquaman looks great. Affleck was a good Batman, about on par with Keaton and better than crybaby Bale. I hope he sticks with the franchise. Jeremy Irons was a better Alfred than Mike Cocaine, seemed younger and smarter. Gal Gadot was serviceable.
All things considered, it was a solid 3/5 stars for entertainment value. I'm not eagerly anticipating a sequel, but I'll watch it when it comes out.

>Why was Superman's first reaction in almost every situation to punch first and ask questions later?
Superman had repressed anger over his receding hairline which Lex exploited, that's why in the final scene Batman doesn't have to brand him, his poetic comeuppance had already taken place: having all of his own hair shaven off. Subtle stuff and easy to miss.
Yeah, I like the movie a lot.
A few missteps, but pretty interesting.

What's the difference between an artery and a vein?
Arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart to the body, and veins carry oxygen-poor blood back from the body to the heart.

That's not entirely accurate
One is what Hitler had....the other Hitler had as well
Post time travel movies. I'm looking for some obscure ones, but just post any that come to mind.
Time loop movies like Groundhog Day can come too.
Los CronocrÃmenes

well if we're gonna go there
I hate child actors. Why are they always so shit and cringe-y?
>>79520078
Because children tend to be shit and cringey
>>79520078
There are occasionally good ones. I actually thought Furlong was really good in T2. I believed him at the end when he had to send his best friend and father figure into the lava.
Because the only acting they do is acting like they haven't been molested

Yes, hiring Vanessa Hudgens and not giving her tasteful but erotic panty scenes? Mad.

>He said I love you to Rachel before he got drafted into service. The few letters she sent back gave only an taciturn response. Along with his incompetence, he took this all out on the Company.
>When he had discharged from the army, he went back to New York and found Rachel happily married to Gunther. Both Joey and Phoebe had moved elsewhere. Monica and Chandler now occupied the apartment with children
>Later, in an episode they chose not to air, Ross survives a suicide attempt and is put into Assisted Living. This was meant for a MASH like spinoff. The producers felt the tone didn't suit the mood of Friends, "The jokes just weren't there." Schwimmer recalls, Ross dies alone in care, and no services were held for his death
