Lisa.
Kelly's sister
Why do people constantly go out of their way to tell Don that he's good looking? Like he doesn't already know
>Pete and Roger call him handsome all the time
>British car salesman says Don is walking around in a nice car every day
>car guys in California say they want to build a car that looks like Don
>Jim Hobart calls Don handsome
>Mathis calls Don handsome even when he's mad at him
Is this what life is like for attractive people in real life? A never ending shower of compliments? Will normies really worship you like this if you have a nice face
Because it's realistic. Weiner talks about it in commentary, as it relates to Betty too. We're so used to entire casts consisting of really really ridiculously good looking people that that seems normal to us, as if it's not a thought in the in-story world. It is, Don is exceptionally handsome in story and Betty is exceptionally beautiful and those are important plot points. Don, as you said Mathis and others point out, is only sort of able to become to man he is by playing the part, which means looking perfect. Betty's able to coast by in life, as a young model then a trophy wife 2x by being exceptionally beautiful. Their status as alpha couple in the series, being told they look like wedding toppers, etc. Is important. They both look at the other, on the surface, as their ideal. Don seeing Betty as the ideal blonde to fill out his family fantasy, not realizing she's mentally and emotionally arrested. Betty seeing Don as a successful Ken doll, knowing nothing of his past.

But are attractive people in real life really worshipped by everyone they meet like in this show
>>79815649
Attractive, not necessarily. Objectively aesthetically perfect, yes.
wat do
>>79814488
Comment on her beautiful long hair and porcelain skin. Being a Japanese schoolgirl, she'll blush and run away.

Jesus Christ there are people who don't even remember Ben Al-Fleck memes. This place is beyond dead.
Is Stranger Things the rare case that a show with children as leads and still be successful?
The majority of the show is acted by a group of child actors yet I don't find it cringy or annoying, probably because how well Finn played the character.
Any other shows with kids as main characters?
I find it cringy and annoying
>>79812578
Yes. I can't think of others
>>79812578
Wow, good thread about a great show. Have a (You), friend.
Anyone else so excited for Saw 8 like I am? I love the death trap scenes and watching how the character will get out (if he or she will).
What I hope though is that Adam from the first movie comes back (there was a video on youtube made showing that Adam supposedly survived because the handcuff on the dead skeleton in the room was on the wrong hand in Saw 2 as it was in Saw 1 when he died - or maybe that was just a prop error when they made Saw 2 and didn't double check the correct arm he was tied up to).
Anyway if this is going to be the last Saw movie, PLEASE make it over 2 hours. The Saw films are too short as only 90 minutes.
They're still making these movies? Holy shit.

>Composer Charlie Clouser described Legacy as a "reinvention" of the franchise, opining that "the Spierig brothers can deliver a fresh take on the material that will establish a new story line and new characters that can carry the saga into the future."
Yes I just read this now. So Saw 8 is actually a kind of soft reboot and they are wanting to make more in the future which makes me so excited!
I will definitely go see this in the cinemas and hope it gets a good box office!
Should have ended with 3 desu.
Why are people meming this shit for Best Picture? Have they just not seen any of the other contenders?
>>79811841
That movie was good though.
Anything but Hidden Figures should win.
Of the 8 out of 9 films I've seen nominated, Moonlight was the best. Manchester by the Sea was a very close second.
It was the worst nominated film. If it actually wins anything I'll assume it's simply political
So fucking sick of Hollywood using scifi as a vessel to tell other genre stories why cant get hard scifi & when we do get a movie that should be called "scifi" its pushing some bullshit agenda so the characters no longer behaves like real people & is just a tool for the faggot writers to sell their non scientific bullshit ideas of how humans should behave (their perfect world ) FUCK U INTERSTELLAR
> fucking sick of these maintain the cultural status quo shit this shit makes you feel like a fucking drone being programmed to behave a certain way
Their idea of sci fi is throwing some fancy looking cgi tech at you
At least Interstellar was more decent than Passengers or Arrival
Millenials demand spoonfeeding to be honest.
Hollywood thinks science fiction and fantasy are absolutely the same thing. Actual science is not something Disney cares about nearly as much as money.
Can we talk about how this movie didn't need to happen?
am i the only one who cant look at that title without thinking of terminator 2
>>79808352
I don't know i liked it. I thought it did a far better job at showcasing the characters than the original which was mostly about Renton.
I've been trying to say this to the wife. She is insisting it will be great and we have to see it. I have my doubts.

Why didn't one of the orcs just stick out their spear/weapon towards his direction?
Is this the worst scene in both trilogies?
All of the extended edition scenes for LotR were not that bad. Some were great, others you can see they just cut for brevity.
The Hobbit EE scenes look like they were cut because of how embarrassing they were.

>the music even pauses to show how "epic" Legolas's feat is

You would never go into the jungle with no sleeves during a military operation. Additionally, arnold wouldn't have passed height and weight and the subsequent taping. Immersion ruined, I didn't watch the rest of the movie.
