Pathfinder General /pfg/

Madness Edition: What level of crazy have your characters gone to?

Old thread: >>53165911

>>53170207

Amalthea confirmed for TSS
>>
So, /pfg/.

How do we fix the CMB/CMD system?
>>
>>53170207
Amalthea has been submitted to TSS

There's a dickgirl hobgoblin

And a shota elf

Captain Slow has put in a daddy

And I've got a half orc paladin too

What have I gotten myself into
>>
>>53170207
My PC failed his save against Feeblemind once.
>>
>>53170207
So far?
Failed a save against sinspawn ichor. Started screaming about every bit of resentment he'd been keeping bottled up for years.

>>
>>53170207
A good character divulged into torturous murder of somebody they captured for no reason other than to be a little psycopath.
>>
>>53170207
repeating from end of old thread:
Does the psionic feat "Rebounding Throw" work with destroyed-on-hit or dissipate-on-hit weapons such as shuriken, crystal chakram, or panoply blades?

And what happens if it gets used with, say, a splash weapon?
>>
>>53170276
That's not a daddy! That's a trashy romance novel protagonist!
>>
I am still torn on my character's ability score distribution for TTS.

I am planning on playing a Serial Killer Vigilante || Vivisectionist Polymath Alchemist. The three ability score distributions I am thinking of as are followed:
>10/18/14/14/10/14
>8/18/14/14/12/14
>10/16/14/14/14/14

Currently I am leaning towards the first option.
>>
>>53170207
Her googlies are in the wrong place her 'eyes' are down there
>>
I want to apply to something with my lawful good town guard wannabe. Anything that would fit?
>>
So for completions sake and a morbid curiosity of how bad it is does anyone have the new adult content addon to Pact magic?
http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/210008/Loves-Tapestry-A-Book-of-Lost-Souls
Love's Tapestry, says it's got a 'periodic table of spirits' and other additions too.
>>
>>53170254
Is it even broken to begin with?
>>
>>53170383
Yes. Monster CMB/CMD dramatically outscales what is reasonable for a PC to have.
>>
>>53170362

For a /pfg/ campaign? Nope.

You could make a prospective mercenary for Serpent's Skull, though.

The only ones recruiting aren't conducive to grumpy town guards. The only one that shows promise is Serpent's Skull, and only because you'd be heading to Eleder to become a guardsman in the first place.

Thinking about making CG Vigilante, who is a brash country boy who has gloryhound tendencies and an unwavering determination to put every villain he meets in the ground. He's also shy and withdrawn when he's outside of his vigilante persona. In truth, he's an inexperienced idealist who learned how to read by memorizing his city slicker aunt's romance novels.

How should I build on this concept?

Saint maybe, but I can't do miracles. Turns out that particular book is only available as an actual physical softcover book. Sorry folks, but we're out of luck for now.
>>
>>53170730
Wow.. I did not catch that when I first looked at it.
Why would they do that?
>>
>>53170635
Demiliches have never been like that in any edition - they're called DEMI liches for a reason. They're liches who have lived for so long that most of their bonus have turned to dust until only the skull remains. That's the basic idea, the details vary from edition to edition.
>>
>>53170472
Eh, if you don't mind utterly dodgy mecha mechanics, try out Blood & Iron.
>>

Alright so make a coffin that has time magic added to the inside that speeds up time times a thousand. Stay in for a few days, then bam, got yourself a demilich.
>>
>>53170767
No clue. Can't find the book anywhere else though, which is odd. And the Radiance House website has a bunch of weird bullshit on the front page.
>>
>>53170337
I would go third option. DM has already voiced his distaste to the idea of horses on the boat which means you can't bring a pack animal, that 8 STR might end up fucking you over until you can.

I know my 10 STR concerns me.
>>
Fast study seems completely broken. It pretty much makes wizards spontaneous casters
>>
>>53170887
Not really. You still only get so many casts a day, but it only takes you like 15 minutes if you want to swap them out.

Also, healing spells.
>>
>>53171909
Okay folks, I'm having a shitty idea

Half-giant Zweisent OD//Shifter, worshipping Gorum

Take Lycanthropic and Beast Soul. Get yourself Construct Transformation and Size Change along with lingering transformation and Greater Transformation. Take whatever drawbacks make sense for a Gorum worshipper (greatsword as a focus maybe).

Make yourself into a giant walking mecha covered with Gorumite iconography. Take Twisted Transformation later on so you can have a copilot in your body cavity.

Could this idea work?

>>
>>53171989
Arcanists can also gain spontaneous Cure conversion like a Cleric using the White Mage archetype if healing is a specifically relevant thing.

They can also get a Black Blade. It's one of their ways of getting a Bonded Object, the other being a Sorcerer bloodline through Blood Arcanist, the Arcane Bloodline, that *may or may not* work by RAW (can I get some opinions on that?). Wizards can't have Exploits and a Bonded Object together, which is relevant if you're trying to be the most spontaneous prepared caster possible.

Thankyou very much, this fixed everything!

In return, I give you 235 virtual currencies and the image of your next Pathfinder Character. May they serve you well.
>>
Got a question for you guys. Why Pathfinder over a different system such as 5e? I'm interested in trying Pathfinder and been reading the player's handbook but Pathfinder sounds really math heavy and crunchy which sounds like it would slow down games a lot. Combat sounds really limited too with most of the martial classes just having to rely on "I attack" most of the time. Am I reading this wrong and there's more to the game? I only bring up the combat cause a few people in my group like to murder hobo while the rest of us are mostly roleplayers.
>>
They didn't give arcanists very unique fluff, did they? You'd never be able to tell it from a wizard in-game, it's only distinguishable at a metagame level.
>>
>>53172232
What are these Lysander logs?
>>
>>53172291
Wizards are nerds, Arcanists are geeks.

Basically you should play a Wizard as an academic, a Sorcerer was a talent, and an Arcanist as a hobbyist.
>>
>>53172291
Pretty sure thats the idea. When you think of studious arcane caster with a spellbook and familiar, you think of wizard. For some reason they gave arcanists this feel that it exactly the same.

>>53172329
Actually, this is a good way to explain it.
>>
>>53172291
Yeah, which is kind of a shame. At least Hunters and Warpriests can be separated from Druid/Rangers and Clerics. And even the Shaman, as boring as it is, has its own unique identity and some interesting new mechanics despite being a 9th-level caster.
>>
>>53172293
Am I the only one who finds it odd at how people still ask who the PLD characters are but XotJR and Dragons are still completely known?

Or do people just refuse to engage with those?

Lysander is the last man standing in Berserk Borne Smut Game, but not a man for much longer
>>
>>53172281
I sent you one on Discord... Even a message on roll20.

>>53172290
Because the very DM I'm talking about is hosting PF, so, PF.
>>
>>53172290
The reason people play pathfinder is because of all the different options, especially in combat. There are actually a bunch of combat maneuver, way more than in 5e.

In my HUMBLE opinion, until they release a path of war for 5e, it is going to be a barebones game especially when compared with pathfinder.

But no, the math is pretty easy in combat if everyone knows their sheets. Just as easy as 5e.
>>
>>53172340
Shaman and Medium are two classes I like because they tickle my versatility boner. Shaman is also the caster I use for my Polytheist/Pantheon-worshipping characters. And I even think the Oracle/Witch hybrid nature of it isn't so bad.

Also, anybody tried the Wendo Caller medium?
>>
>>53172359
why dont you give me your discord and Ill add you? No problem. For some reason I just did not get one.
>>
>>53172358
He's neither man nor standing at this point
>>
>>53172290
I only play Pathfinder over 5e specifically because my DMs run Pathfinder. Your assumptions are more or less correct, but it's worth noting that Pathfinder is a metric fuckton more customizable behind the scenes for the people into it. The 5ft step and full round combat system is pretty annoying though.
>>
>>53172290
Here are my reasons:
>played pathfinder for a long time
>the number of options makes character building rewarding/interesting
>large amount of 3pp to choose from
>large crowd to play for

I like 5e more than Pathfinder in some ways. Particularly removing int based skill ranks as a concept and how they changed spellcasting. The introduction of the Concentration Economy and removing bonus spell slots was a boon to the game. However how they have changed combat maneuvers, the amount of things they simply put 'ask your GM' for, advantage/disadvantage, and more I like less.

If I could I would take bits of Pathfinder, 5e, AD&D, and 3e (along with some 3pp), and staple them together into a Frankenstein's monster edition. I may later this year when I am no longer employed, but not now.

>dual-cursed oracle 1/witch 19
>ratfolk or a human with racial heritage (ratfolk) for witch fcb on slumber
if you can stand giving up a hex and a feat, you can go half-orc, take racial heritage and the scarred witch doctor archetype so you can start with 22 int.
>peace patron
levels 1-4 use ill omen/misfortune revelation + sleep. levels 5+ pretty much the same, but slumber.
use ritual hex for cauldron and healing and eventually their upgraded versions.
around level 10 or 12, pick up spell hex and choose sanctuary (which is why we take the peace patron). this way you get sanctuary 3x/day with a scaling save; with split hex you effectively get 6.

thoughts?

>Am I the only one who finds it odd at how people still ask who the PLD characters are but XotJR and Dragons are still completely known?
Yes. RotJR was a massively popular game throughout its months long application process and for many months thereafter, even after they've stopped giving us updates because of the deluge of shitposting. PLD was a flash in the pan that very few people here actually care about and only a small handful of anons follow anything about it (despite what I can only assume are the best efforts of the players to make their game relevant).

Likely going to stay the same general. Otherwise the community would be split and we will end up with two seperate dead threads.

>>53172992
They described it as a space opera science fantasy. The way they said it was on a scale with starwars going to star trek with firefly in the middle, they wanted to be on the starwars and firefly side of the spectrum with a bit more fantasy in the open.
>>
>>53173039
>Kobolds Queen
It's Mighty Quest for Epic Loot and no it's not lewd at all from what GM told me.
>>
>>53173003
I don't think it's a good idea, I see Starfinder discussion basically going like this:

>Core releases, even ship-posting is drowned out by Starfinder discussion for awhile, thread maybe splits
>Core discussion is exhausted after a month, the game is already mostly solved and Paizo intends to give it only half as much support as Pathfinder
>Starfinder games start going up in threads, the systems become interchangeable in regards to their impact on posting and it's mostly the same people
>At this point Starfinder content releases so infrequently the general would just be dead other than the circlejerk

Just keep it in one thread so we can talk about books every other month.
>>
So do we know which /pfg/ campaigns are still running?
>>
>>53173003
Not really. It's basically rules expansion content in the same way stuff like Spheres of Power and Unchained optional mechanics are.

It's not like the setting change is enough to cause separation - plenty of people talk about their unusual settings for Pathfinder games in here, including sci-fi ones. It's not Golarion General. That would be cause for suicide.

There's a discussion to be had.

What kind of game or setting do people plan to run once Starfinder rules are available?

Personally I'm hoping the system will support Gundam style space romance better than Pathfinder does low fantasy.
>>
>>53173915
Low magic, low tech game taking place in a fishing village on Golarion. The PCs have to find out why the local farmer's cows keep disappearing and turning up dead and mutilated in the outskirts of town days later.
>>
>>53173887

Session Zero setting is a meta setting where everything from the system (including homebrew) exists all at once. It's couched as a sort of extra dimensional theme park so you can test all aspect of your characters without having to commit to an actual story line.

For my own sake, it takes the form of a giant intersteller golem shaped like a whale with multiple ring worlds for ribs roughly the size of the solar system. The golem is sentient but has a group of DMPCs who run the amusement park for it.

>>53173915
There are a lot of settings I'd hope could be done with the rules. I like Xenogears/Saga. I like Outlaw Star, I like Dune, I like Chronicles of Riddick. All of these could be done, I hope, with the rules given.

>>53173905
Alright, alright. Hope you're enjoying your session!
>>
>>53173993
Luckily for you, most of those can be run straight up on the same golarion system. For example, there is a desert world where the sparse few cities became cities because of the mineral wealth of the planet for starship fuel produced by the giant Purple Worms which on this planet can grow many times larger. Then FTL was invented and the bottom fell out on their business because most of the use of the fuel was gone and only a small portion of what once was consumed is still used, the rest is for other purposes. There are desert tribal ratfolk and four armed aliens, and even desert world mummies. (this planet could also be a good john carter of mars style thing)

There is a world that is tidally locked with a huge cityscape dominating the ring of habitable land. One either side of this ring is a mostly inhospitable desert, and the other side a frozen tundra. both sides have their barbarian tribes, and the cold side has a group of monks that are so powerful, their highest ranking monks who lost the most limbs to the cold are sold as starship computers and navigation devices, while the rest are connected into this large commune computer with the rest of the monks. The city itself can be a setting for any number of big city worlds. In most places you can't even see the ground from the top of some of the buildings and the bottom is constantly dark.

There are tons of other worlds already in-game and you can read about them in the distant worlds pdf. You can see the logical jump in time they take. Like the paranoid liches becoming CEOs to megacorps was to be expected given the time they had, etcetc

The quest is still a mystery.

I'm fine with having Magic, divine or arcane, as long as the character is primarily melee. I don't want to be pidgeonholed as a lawful good, however. I just want to be able to react to whatever situation arrives in at least some way, while having a decent amount of damage output/not being a glass cannon.
>>
>>53174712
Spellcasting.
Animal Companion.
>>
>>53174712
The Ranger spell list is pretty solid despite the other issues with their spellcasting, animal companion is a fantastic feature.

Also if you know you're going into a campaign where 90% of enemies are the same type, favored enemy is better than studied target. I'd say Rangers are generally better than Slayers.
>>
>>53174760
Rangers work better in Adventure Paths, but if your GM is doing a home campaign and you don't know what to expect, a Slayer will generally be a better pick- they're not constrained by spellcasting and they can pick the good aspects up of both Ranger and Rogue
>>
>>53174726
Your best bet might be with Monk or Barbarian if you don't like being lawful good. (if its a solo game paladin is the coolest thing though.) Consider the fact that invulnerable rager becomes pretty much immune to a lot of damage because of just how swole he becomes, and the fact he can resist almost all magic effects if you go supernatural. Plus disabling them entirely with spellsunder. You won't match the utility of a monk or paladin but you will just destroy most enemies in one or MAYBE two hits.

Monk though is a different beast. you gain a ton of utility but you fight in a different way. You can gain your own pool of personal healing which is not bad, and you also gain the ability to inflict hard CC. Stunning fist is an invaluable ability and the chance to use it a ton is never to be messed with. You also get dimension door, spell resistance, and can pretty much teleport+grapple enemy spellcasters. (also best saves in the game)

Paladins are played like a combination of them both, but you are more dependant on your armor. You gain a great list of spells, and your smite evil is fantastic against evil, undead, dragons, outsiders. The eviler the better. Your other abilities are top notch. Can you imagine getting feared in a solo game? You get run into a corner and stabbed to death. Not with paladin. They are immune to fear, immune to charm, and also compulsion, so you will never be commanded to kill yourself. Also you can heal yourself as a swift action with your healing hands, and channel energy WHILE getting a good spell list and damaging everyone with your heavy damage smite evil or sword fighting.
>>
>>53174760
Any archetypes you'd recommend for Ranger, or go vanilla?
>>
>>53174725

I just remembered rougarou are a thing now.

Funny.
>>
>>53174726
Ranger can essentially be two players at once in early levels with an animal companion. You get favored enemy, which if you know the general kind of enemy in the campaign its great. They generally are locked into a combat style when you choose one though, so archery, melee, whatever is going to be your beast. What they choose, they great at. Their spell lists are good too, some healing, but not as much as monk or paladin.

Your other choice can surprisingly be wizard or cleric. Both for similar reasons. A wizard can effectively disable a whole level 1 encounter if he can get one or two good spells off. Then, assuming they are weak creatures, he can attempt to kill them while they are incapacitated, or get a summon monster to defend him while he shoots bolts. A cleric does much similar, but with a bit more armor and can heal or damage with channel energies. Both end up great with a follower too, and past level 5, wizards and clerics actually start making an impact on the playing field more than once or twice a day.
>>
>>53174819
Barbarian might fit the bill. I'm not really into Monk, I think. I've played a Brawler before and it felt kind of... wonky? I'm thinking I'll avoid Unarmed types, and I don't think I really want to RP a Monk type anyhow.

Paladin would be great, just a shame about the LG lock.

>>53174930
I've considered Cleric because they're OP. Not interested in Wizard. Ranger is interesting. I think that mention of Slayer earlier really has me interested, however. I'm strongly considering going that way now.
>>
>>53175007
Slayer's a very self-sufficient class with a lot of build variety that you'll almost never fuck up, but do keep in mind that a solo adventure will make it significantly harder to sneak attack.

If you're going Slayer over Ranger, your main advantage is going to be the better progression. You can pick up something in the range of 6~ feats without any significant sacrifices by 12.
>>
>>53175007
Slayer is a pretty easy class in general. They don't however get the same level of safety with spells and powers as paladins do though. With the self-heals and the like. The locking LG probably wont come up too much in a solo adventure since you wont have to argue with your partymembers, and if you choose a fun god, you can usually run with them well enough being fun.

I'll be DMing Curse of the Crimson Throne for a group of fairly new players in a few weeks. Since it's a smaller group (2-3 players at most) they've asked me to put together a character to play through it with them so they don't get overwhelmed before they even fully understand how the game works.

Normally I'm not huge on the idea of playing a dmpc but since they asked I figured I'd throw something together to help guide the group, at least until they know what they're doing.

Any ideas? I'd like to play something low-impact so I'm not taking the spotlight away from any of my players, but I've never had to make a dmpc before so I don't really know where to start.

>Normally I'm not huge on the idea of playing a dmpc but

Hey, here's a neat little secret. There's actually nothing wrong with DMPCs, and they can even be a good thing when done right. The phrase "DMPC" really is nonsense anyway, any NPC could be called a DM's PC if you wanted. DMPCs just get it rough because sometimes- or often- they share/steal some spotlight from the PCs. But that's not necessarily a problem, and you can really get to know an NPC by traveling with and fighting alongside them.

Just avoid A) making them more powerful than the PCs, B) making them nothing but expositional devices, C) making them one dimensional or bland (just like you should avoid doing with any character), D) making them overly antagonistic to the PCs (or on the other hand, making them obedient slaves), E) giving them special plot armor, and F) killing them off or making them turn traitor before the party has become attached to them.
>>
>>53175312
Important addendum:
It's critical not to make ALL of them either die or turn traitor. I've had GMs where if an NPC is named, they're going to stab us in the back if they're not enemies from the very start.

Those GMs usually end up coming on messageboards like this one and bitching and whining that their party is nothing but murderhobos once they finally learn the lesson and just scan (detect evil, etc), smite (or gun down) and loot the characters so they can get on with the plot.

"DMPC" is mostly used as shorthard for "Mary sue that the GM uses to force his players into watching his anime powerwank". That being said I second your points. Nothing wrong with having an NPC accompany the party if the GM isn't stupid about it.
>>
>>53175445
Perhaps the greates DMPC I've ever seen given to a party was this small glowing, floating orb that contained the soul of a holy man that ran afoul with a lich. He was pleasant, godly and extremely good with handing out healing, but was utterly incapable of either talking to NPCs or fighting due to the obvious, instead giving the party advice and wisdom.

The poor little guy burned out after doing a mass resurrection to save the party from a TPK.

It's an Extraordinary Save-or-Die effect, and mind you, it also has a pretty goddamn potent scaling DC- that being the whole 10+1/2 your Slayer level + Int Mod + YOUR STUDIED TARGET BONUS.

Plus, on a failure, you can just deal normal sneak attack damage. The instant-death is just a nice rider effect that makes you a VERY killy opponent.

That's the beautiful thing about Slayer; Intelligence is nice, but it's not needed at all to make the class function; Assassinate is OPTIONAL, you can choose it or something like Woodland Stride or Improved Evasion.

>>53175516
Assassinate has a great DC but it requires a study as a standard action meaning it takes up two turns of your primary action economy.

Dragons 2: Rory and Rorymei get date raped edition.

>So last session the party is offered a free venue to perform with their band in exchange for capturing three bounties.
>Crazy Hassan cursed magic item dealer, Ahbid Alahad serial Buggerer, and John Doe murderer.
>They ask around town and get the most info on Ahbid. They even find out he has a preference for slender handsome men. AKA fuccbois.
>Lio gets the bright idea to send The shapeshifter and Mei (with a little hypno therapy to get over the embarrassment) to go seduce him out of hiding.
>They find him, and good GOD he's hot.
> They try seduce him.
> SUDDENLY WILL SAVES!!
> No YOU are the seduced!
> The Target compels them to follow him into a place so they can do the nasty.
> the rest of the party follows suit, waiting for the target to literally have their pants down before they knock him out and take him to the authorities.
> Unfortunately for our two fuccbois, Lio our resident disney princess... has a voyerism fetish. and waits until he's almost done with them before she gives the signal to attack.
> The guy himself is a chump, and goes down in a single color spray. but Rory and Rorymei are in a cuddle puddle on the ground.
>Calsi, being the responsible one, drags the mark to guard captain. Who awards the party with a 3 day pass with the performing venue, as an advance payment.
> The rest of the party tries to clean themselves up a bit.

Session end, due to sleepiness.

I once ran a campaign in space and one of the main enemies was a grey-styled alien who dualwielded deathrays and had an old west gunslinger thing going on. He was the party's gunslinger's mortal enemy.

Vanilla Slayer is solid.

Spiritslayer if you want to get the Blind-Fight tree early.

Stygian Slayer if you need a more reliable source of invisibility and mobility

Execution does well against humanoids too.

The various "specialist" archetypes are also decent if you know what you're expecting, as they don't trade out Sneak Attack or Studied Target, and you still gain most of your slayer talents.

How? You're instantly achieving your goal at the time. Why would those two turns matter if it saves everyone from having to use all the other turns they would have otherwise?

I'd argue that a Crimson Countess or Raven Lord harbinger tops a Fiendbound Marauder warder, but damned if they're not close.
My personal vote goes to Raven Lord, just for the reason of "BIRD MADE OF SADNESS, SOMETIMES KILLS PEOPLE WHILE YOU'RE ASLEEP".
>>

Bonus points if said Harbinger had a cloak lined with raven feathers that blows menacingly in the wind during monologues.
>>
>>53176005
He was supposed to be captured nonlethally, the rest of the party was giving the boys some space to get the guy, and the will saves weren't actually magical or anything, he was just really hot.

Hey, it worked. And everyone except him wound up satisfied with how turned out.

>>53176058

He helped kill The Empress, but wasn't satisfied, as he didn't believe she was the one tormenting him and wasn't the one who killed his brother. I mean, you can fluff things how you want and it'll change the edge factor.

My last harbinger was an Omen Rider who acted as a messenger of hope in the darkness. He'd seek out the most lost causes, and throw himself in full speed to salvage anything he could and do good where none existed.
My current harbinger defines herself entirely by what she is able to kill and destroy, is only happy when she's just killed somebody, and every named individual in her backstory is either "She killed this person" or "She tried and failed to kill this person, but would try again if she met them again".

Kay, WotR GM here.

Going to skip over a bit of the first few sessions. Also we're down to four players due to some drops, but otherwise things went well.

Party is now:
>Francisca: Dragon Avowed + Draconic Avenger who has a cool pet drake named Smokkrol and occasionally novas with sort-of-dragon breath and axe attacks. Literal loot radar.
>Evelyn: Wizard + Secret Broker Occultist + Aegis + Empiricist Investigator who combines magic with pretty much the sum total of the party's skill needs and being able to GO FAST.
>Morgase: Body-Pact Avowed + Striker who provides a healthy portion of ultraviolence.
>Corvus: Cleric + Fighter (Myrmidon) who in addition to being an incredible healer/support also deals a shitload of damage in melee.

Session 1
>awkward introductions, some scanning around for clues as to the environment
>and realizations of what's happened
>find a middle-aged nobleman, a roguish woman and a blind elf wizard among the bodies
>Corvus uses a wand of Cure Light Wounds from Evelyn on the elf and the rogue
>the elf is Aravashnial, but won't say more
>the woman is Anevia, and is very grateful for the help
>the man is Horgus, and he's healthy but Francisca suggests they fuss over him so he feels reassured
>fight maggots hiding inside of giant spider corpses
>Francisca hangs back and protects, Morgase, Corvus and Evelyn pretty much explode them
>explore caves, find loot and also remains of bodies that fell down the rifts in the ground
>find Mongrelmen campsite concealed and trapped, resupply and get some torches
>rest a while, Morgase makes some kind of stew out of random dried meat and things she found in the campsite
>>

>Aravashnial snarks a lot because while he finds the party helpful, he's also obviously not happy about being blind
>Horgus stays back a lot, and clings up by Fran
>some discussion is had about him offering up one of his nephews to the girls if they want good marriages
>Fran politely brushes it off, as does Evelyn
>Morgase asks if they're any good at fighting (for obvious reasons)
>break camp, move on to loot around abandoned underground Temple of Aroden
>Evelyn finds a broken sword on an altar, that she realizes is good enough to at least use as a dagger (its Axiomatic +1) and offers a small prayer in gratitude even though she's not very religious
>party finds bodies of the priest's family and a bunch of misshapen bodies
>Francisca also finds hidden supply room, piles of clothing and books... mostly just religious living guides
>find the journals of a priest who tried to care for his misshapen Mongrelman child and keep the underground faithful
>keep exploring this 'floor' of the caves
>fight giant black widow spider near a refuse chute that drops down from the Kenabres sewers (also the last maggot that escaped the first fight)
>it jobs hard because Morgase can sort of just stand on the ceiling all the time
>decide to not try climbing up the slippery 100ft pipe even though Morgase (resident ultraviolence girl) can walk on walls and ceilings

Certainly, but it requires a ship stocked almost entirely with high capacity fuel tanks that have been almost completely emptied, a hyperwave caster, and a brief stopover in Druuge space.

Eagle submitted a meme app.

Meanwhile, there are no Dragons2 players applying.
>>
>>53176946
I'm applying because I want to feel his E-Cock deep inside me, so I couldn't care less what kind of person he is.

Rory's Stupidly Enormous Adventure

Let's look:
>Lord Cornelius Lanchester Giles von Vanderbilt III Esq, a joke.
>Rekannas Haelcant, serious.
>Aiden Delaney, probably a joke.
>Raimi, definitely a joke.
>Caleni, serious.
>Merlynn, probably serious but also a kobold.
>Doctor Gaius "Grey" Walete, serious.
>Tiv "Tivvies" Nettle, another kobold and serious?
>Amalthea Sendorei, a fallen legend.
>Aurelian Mopatis, reused from Dragons 2.
>Serizri, unfinished.
>Neyja, jesus christ.
>Param Calard, serious.
>Priscilla Sybille, unfinished but looks serious.
>Sapera Hemakshi, serious.
>Wendifa Malu, serious.
>Sidon(ia) Falco / Black Barrel, wait a second... okay probably a joke.

>>53176998
If ERP didn't seem so likely I'd apply just to live the memes.
>>
>>53177018
But if you ERP with Rory, you earn the Rory badge, Anon. That's one step closer to catching them all!

...GUYS

"The Skull of the Stupidly Enormous Trouser Serpent God"

What have you DONE
>>
>>53177016
How is lord Cornelius a joke?
Or Aiden? Most of these seem like you are just saying they are jokes
>>
>>53177049
What do you get if you catch them all?
>>
>>53177049
Who is the mysterious anon collecting the badges?

What have they got so far?
>>
>>53177062
Cancer.

>>53177018
Guys, DHB is applying.
>>
>>53177070
What's the Overlewd badge called then? Just the Overlewd badge?
>>
>>53177073
I thought we were cancer. How can cancer get cancer?

>>53177070
I think it's Bailey
>>
>>53177062
Die mostly. Cyber venereals are serious business.
>>
>>53177074
>get into Rory's Big Adventure
>ERP with DHB and Rory in one fell swoop

This could be a game-changer
>>
>>53177080
Game badges are achieved by erping every player in them.
>>
>>53177056
>>53177016

The Vishyanka and the gothloli trap are the cutest ones so far.

Although Rory is a furfag, so he'll probably pick two kobolds, the cat and a daddy instead.
>>
>>53177099
>>53177080
That would mean DHB has no badges. Or does he not count since ERPing him is a badge?
>>
>>53177016
Hooray, my app got called serious!

That's good, right?
>>
>>53177131
No, that's very bad. Rory hates serious.
>>
>>53177118
Average /pfg/ anons get you generic badges, they don't count towards completion but can leverage you towards meme badges by networking. Meme players are the completion goal and you win by collecting then all. Game badges are extra achievements for completionists but not necessary.
>>
>>53177136
>inb4 he picks a party of the most serious apps to the game
>and Amalthea
>>
>>53177074
What's he applying with?
>>
>>53177179
We don't know but it's looking to be an Int-based Initiator using Veiled Moon!
>>
>>53177136
Here's my pick for a good, functional team using only the art I thought was cute.
>Caleni: Good face, another healer and supporter, skill monkey and also strong in melee.
>Tiv: Ranged damage and support casting/crafting.
>Amalthea: Healer and support caster.
>Sapera: Excels at open field battles.
>Sidonia: Ranged damage and melee control.

So there you go. Almost everyone combines some kind of combat, some kind of casting and/or some kind of skill suite.

The halfling marries the kobold, and the vishyanka marries the trap and Amalthea marries a million dicks.
>>
>tfw want to apply to Trouser Snake with Jamal-kun the Gunslinger from UngaGunGa
>>
>>53177136
O-ooh. I see. I guess I should make my application more degenerate then.
>>
>>53177215
4 open slots tho
I'd say
>Giles: Ranged damage and partial skillmonkey
>Rekannas: Solid melee frontliner and face
>Sapera: Second melee frontliner, scout, could spec into knowledges since the party might lack them
>Priscilla: Healer and spellcasting support
>>
>>53177215
Halfling x Kobold.
I ship it.

How do I maximum steal with a gestalt character?

I've already got Unchained Rogue (Filcher, Hidden Blade) on one side of the gestalt, so I'm running off Sleight of Hand to power my steal combat maneuvers instead of CMB, as well as Sleight of Hand/Appraise bonuses from the wyvaran greed trait.

What other classes would do well to maximize bonuses to steal maneuvers? I'd like to have Dex and Cha as my primary stats.

Necromancy is objectively the strongest school of magic. You just need to be evil to use it.

>Necromancy
>Not Conjuration or Divination
>>
Can I as a Witch hex and cast a spell? Both are standard actions.
>>
>>53177390
No, because you only get one standard action per turn
