Why should I use a linux distro and not windows 7?
No reason.
Depends on your situation. I like the fact that my OS is more minimal and lightweight, partly because I have a shitty old laptop and Windows 7 takes about 5 minutes to boot and open a browser, whereas it happens in about a minute with GNU/Linux.
I'm with the Japanese on this one
Is it true that old 4chan was left/centrist-left?
>>1474569
I think old /b/ made fun of Bush just because he was easy to make fun of and not because of his politics.
4chan was never political. It was just anti-stupid.

I believe people should take it easy, but passivity is a lie.
Where does that leave someone?
>>1474303
How is passivity a lie?
>>1474305
Stay passive in the face of aggressors and those who dislike you will do everything to knock you down.
Are you referring to /qa/? /qa/ isn't passive, it's in control while taking it easy at the same time.
Have you ever confessed your love for someone? If yes, how did it go?

How does one interact with others? For example, in an online chatroom. What am I supposed to say? Sometimes I feel inclined to join a chatroom, but I am afraid of saying something and be inconvenient. I have tried sometimes before but I am always kicked out for being an annoying literal autist. The best I can do is join discussions about a particular topic in a thread of an textboard or imageboard, such as discussions about, say, maid cafés in Akibahara. I can't talk in an online chatroom or equivalent. Is this something that can be overcome or should I just avoid online chatrooms such as those of games or IRC etc?

That's how I am. There has to be something I'm genuinely interested in. I can't fake it.
>>1474040
Thanks for formulating my thoughts. This is also why I autistically go around and call people with online friends based normbros and discordbros.

liek, jus b urself
but on a serious note, if its a group that's going to last a while and you know its not just a one
time chat with them and leave, you just make small comments on things other users who are
more active and are well known there say, and so you do this for a while until those users will
respond to things you say, that's an indication that they notice your existence, at that point,
you can start talking about topics, don't try to refute other well known users though, and don't
respond to too many users who are new unless they make valid points and you feel the need
to refute them, or you'll look like an annoyance, then you can start making jokes about things
the more well known users can understand, at the end of all of this, you'll be another one of
the regular well known users who shit at each other with posts about topics and occasionally
respond to users lower on the "well known" hierarchy, pretty much just the old way forums worked
onto the topic of "one time chats" or "anonymous chatting", pretty much just a hit or miss kind of deal, no consistency
Is there a particular reason why mods don't allow there to be a new drawthread on /co/ past its image or bump limit?
Even if it's past both (rendering the thread completely useless), mods will ban you if you make a new thread before it hits page 10.
