I've crashed twice within 24hours, each time from a wheelie

I've fucked the front wheel alignment and snapped the gear lever

How do I realign the front steering?

An intentional or unintentional wheelie?

if he rides an r15, can't be unintentional.

I feel bad for brits that we had to export our shit suburban car culture to England and forever fucked their public transit and attitude towards bicyclists. I think the UK is the only country in the Europe with an American style hatred for cyclists.

As it so happens I just got back from riding pic related, got in two hours after work riding singletrack and gravel in the dark. Was fun, but I have to confess I'm a total wuss when it comes to rock drops and ruts at night.

While out today I passed through the valley where a pumpkin patch is located. On one side there was a giant truck with a sign saying to enter from other side of valley blockading the road because a bridge at the bottom is condemned and barricaded. Sure enough while riding down that road I encountered a woman in an SUV who must have gone into the ditch to get around the truck confident the sign and truck was a ruse. When I was exiting the valley there was a constant stream of cars kicking up a huge plume of dust.

The bandage from yesterday's road rash incident worked its way loose, so I had my tights rubbing on the open wound for the last 20 km.

Less people out riding the gravel roads on the weekends this year. Cyclocross has gained popularity here and the masochists do that every weekend instead.

Pros: Lots of bike lanes, lots of cyclists.
Cons: Streets are always in horrendous condition and motorists like to use the bike lanes as parking spaces. Drivers are insane but at least they know to watch out for cyclists.

With today the ÖBB changing their entire schedule. + They letting a new train ride. So what does /n/ think of it. Pic this train.

Referred to you guys from /fit/

Looking to get into street cycling. Former land whale, fat af. Down over 100 lbs in 18 months but stalled around 340 lbs. Walking, portioning etc. just not cutting it anymore. Used to love biking when i was younger so thought that might be a nice change of pace.

A few hangups I have when it comes to getting one: I'm still a big guy so I want something durable (leaning towards a mountain bike). I'm a tall guy 6'6" so I'm wondering if the 27" bikes you can get at Walmart/Target will be sufficient. Also pricing limited so Craig's list or Walmart are my affordable options. Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

OP, there's no reason you can't ride a bike at 340 pounds, but realistically this means you'll need very strong wheels, and you'd likely benefit from starting out on a bike more like the one in your pic that uses the frame to support more of your body mass than a typical mountain bike or road bike.

Unfortunately the need for strong wheels means that Target/Walmart bikes aren't a good option (they're really not good options for anyone, as a previous anon mentions).

My suggestion is to look for a local dealer of Worksman cycles, they make heavy-duty bikes and wheels for exactly your situation. 2nd best after that would be buying online (http://www.worksmancycles.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/big-bikes.html) because if you've never ridden a bike as an adult you'd really benefit to having some in-person guidance.

Alternatively, if you can't find a Worksman or that's beyond your budget, the next step would be to find a local bike shop that can build you an extra-strong wheelset and fit you to something like the bike in your original pic.
