Anyone looking for some last minute tickets for sound on sound fest on the cheap? I have a 3 day pass +3 day parking and unfortunately I won't be able to make it. Could i get some recommendations for headphones?
I have been using a pair of Sennheiser 201s at home and some Sony over-the-ear headphones at the gym for years now, and they both stopped working in one ear in the past week. The Sennheisers were probably my favorite possession, or at least up there with my computer and guitar, and I wore them at least half the time that I was awake and at home. They had a great, full sound. I could turn them up loud without waking up sleeping people in the same room. They were comfortable and stayed on, and the cord was long enough to move around the room a bit.
So now I need a new pair. Might just get another pair of HD201s, but I'm looking around. Can probably spend more if it seems worth it. Anyone have a pair they want to gush about? I'm into over-the-ear, closed back headphones, but feel free to make this a general headphones thread and talk about whatever kind you are currently enjoying.

I have a pair of Denon AH-D600 headphones and I have no complaints. They are a little large, not in bulkiness but it's like they were designed for people with big heads, but for me they fit well.

Enjoying these (Sennheiser HD598).
They sound really natural, mostly neutral, good soundstage, comfortable to wear and the sound is not fatiguing. One could listen to them for hours.
Only negative would be that the bass lacks impact.

While I get the microtonality thing Coleman was going for on this record, thus the repetition actually makes complete sense, I still wish there would've been more rhythmic diversity on it. Sure it doesn't have to be through the horns since that's where the microtonal thing is happening, but at least like the drums or something. Compared to the other often highly rated jazz albums like KOB, ALS, TBSATSL, OTL, etc. it feels lacking there.
