I'm bottling up a lot of emotions at the moment, and I feel like I'd really benefit from a good cry. I haven't cried in years. Please post some tear-jerkers, bonus points for songs that are quite modern

If this doesn't make you cry idk what will.
What determines the albums/genre you deem 2 meme here on a daily basis?
This is better than Grimes/JPOP/Spiderland/The Lonesome Crowded West/Death Grip/Varg.
You do know it is only 1 or 2 people shit/fanboy posting on this board on a daily basis to meme these things and you take the bait everytime.

yank crime isn't that good of an album to meme
>>69156764
Death Grips albums are all mediocre, with a handful of good to great songs. Why are they a meme? Muh angry black man art-rap, with autist white dudes as beat makers?
Grimes is another. Has one good album, the rest are trash, and her style is garbage anime/gamer culture. Is it because she is cute enough to want to fuck but not attractive enough for an ugly neckbeard to be turned down by her (like her boyfriend)?
KPOP is ugh MUH ASIAN CUTIES! Thats all it is. Just autists literally jerking off to music videos with cuties they like.
Spiderland is muy brooding edging guitar rock. Slint is for edgy boys who don't want to look took edgelord normie like Marilyn Manson/Slipknot fans or hipster normie like Deafheaven. Ohh, speaking in monotone over intertwining riffs for 6 minutes.
etc. etc. so on.

You should go outside more man.
Country music is the best
prove me wrong
>Protip: You cant
maybe prove yourself right first
No, it's not.
There you go.
Pandering, fake ass, stadium country music is utter bullshit. Its the same phrases over and over again. "Dirt road, cold beer, blue jeans, rec pickup". Rural nouns and simple adjectives. These "county artists" play off like they are these field hands but they have never worked a day in their lives. Their boots are $3000 and they write all their songs on their private jets. County music is actual bullshit.
>tfw have tickets for the show tomorrow night
>tfw probably won't be able to go since I'm sick af
ae for this feel?
>>69155747
their music will heal and cure you dummy

>>69157318
I'm going next week. But from past experience go unless you are dying.

I like it. Glad to see Jamie making poppier music without going full DGIHM
really boring. I feel like Xiu Xiu has gone on for too long and at this point they're just lame
I like it, It's the most accessible song I've ever heard
by them.
Maybe we'll see something similar to Fabulous Muscles?
What do we think of Van Dyke Parks?
I loved Teens of Denial.
he's a nancy boy
The poor bloke just wanted to make awesome music and instead found a depressive, crazy genius with a fucked up family.
>DSOTM is the best Pink Floyd album
>grimes is not awful
>Beatles is the greatest rock band in history

Albums with dystopian themes and/or atmosphere.

bump
How good are you at using a synthesizer, /mu/?
The best of anyone ever.
Medium using Op1
what kind of synthesis, son? analog, FM? the list goes on
what does /mu/ think of grimes
she doesn't repeat herself, it's hard not to like at least one of her songs
>>69164297
Why don't you tell us, give us something to work with.
>>69164335
Which explains why I like exactly one of her songs
That being Realiti Demo
Anyone else have a problem listening to new music?
I always find myself coming back to more diverse albums I've listened to before.
Like why would I listen to any other new rap or hip-hop besides Kanye, Kendrick Lamar, Rae Sremmurd, Drake, etc. I find myself just saying
>the beat sucks
>the sample sucks
>the lyrics suck because they are shit-tier or they try too hard to be intellectual
Radio shit is just shit and underground shit is just too tryhard
Anyone else in my position? What do you do? And this goes for multiple genres as well, not just rap.
>>69157195
Try just finding albums at random and giving them a listen instead of going for a specific artist.
Say you have a spotify. Whatever the first recommended album is. Listen to it. Don't even look who it's by. For me at least, the fun is the surprise.
>>69157195
why would you listen to rap and hip-hop in the first place
It's shit
try MF DOOM, Madlib, Quasimoto ect if you haven't already..
recently got into Quasimotos first 2 albums and their great desu
Thoughts on Lauren/Chvrches? What do you expect from their third album? Which one is their best song?
YOU
WERE THE PERFECT STORM
BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH *synths as if made of silk paper come in*
IT'S NOT ENOUGH, NOT ENOUGH
>>69155703
>Thoughts on Lauren/Chvrches?
Lauren is sweet-voiced qt, geekish, charming, with some tomboy features. Love it. As a feminist she's fairly reasonable for the most part, although it seems to me that sometimes she's way too concentrated on gender issue when that's not really needed (like here https://streamable.com/yy57)
Chvrches are alright. TBofWYB is on the first ten of 2013. I acpected much more from 2nd LP though.
>Which one is their best song?
Science/Visions, Lies.
>What do you expect from their third album?
More. More songs like Science/Visions, Lies. And bring back to me polka dot dresses,
it would be nice.
I haven't answered all those questions since 2013 probably, dunno why i'm doing it now.
>>69155703
I want to pour some honey on those pancakes alright.
