Lauren is sweet-voiced qt, geekish, charming, with some tomboy features. Love it. As a feminist she's fairly reasonable for the most part, although it seems to me that sometimes she's way too concentrated on gender issue when that's not really needed (like here https://streamable.com/yy57)
Chvrches are alright. TBofWYB is on the first ten of 2013. I acpected much more from 2nd LP though.

One of my favorite bands, seen em live twice.

2nd album is very good but it all sounds sort of he same, wheras bones had a lot of variety for electropop.

I want the 3rd album to not be as boring and samesy as the 2nd one is, although the bonus tracks add a lot of good flavor to the 2nd album, so get the new deluxe version if you don't have it

Anyway, just watched some of one of their shows on youtube. Lauren is super cute and turns out way older than I thought (she's 29). Band itself is alright but they could use a dedicated drummer, boo on midi drums for live shows.

Iain and Martin are pretty much completely expendable. Lets be real her, Lauren is the main attraction and not just for her looks either. She's the front(wo)man and as a result she gets all the attention. Even though Lauren herself would hate to admit it, she is the only public face of Chvrches.
Martin is a truly truly terrible singer and he needs to never have a solo ever again.

I expect more of the same. They've built up quite the loyal fan base and i dont see that fading anytime soon. But, just as was the case of the second album compared to the first, the third album will have good singles, but not as many as the second, which in turn didnt have as many as the really great first album.
