Daily reminder that Gucci Mane killed 2 men and buried their bodies in a school playground
>>
Gucci Mane is one of the most influential rappers of the last 10 years. And for good reason.
>>

I'm a huge hiphop head myself, but I don't like the modern garbage at all. But this being said I can still respect Gucci's drive, but is he really influential?

He didn't put Atlanta on map, he didn't popularise the trap scene (Jeezy did)

I don't know if it's me, but I don't like having to skip through half an album to get to one of the three good songs.
Also, you know that if the title track didn't have a flashy music video, it would just be more filler like the majority of NOTB.

SUCK SUCK SUCK

So why is the M50X a meme? Also, what's the point of buying studio headphones with a flat response if you're not making your own music? This isn't just for Audio Technica but AKG and Sony MDR too.

>>
i have those headphones and they are good
>>
>>69718234
I'm glad you like them.
>>
>>69718216
They aren't nearly as good as people make them out to be. They're basically a better version of beats, which doesn't say much. There are tons of better options for the price. Even the M40X model is far better.

You don't need flat response at all. But if you want to hear music approximately how it was when it was mastered, or if you just like to be able to hear all of the frequencies, it's good to get relatively flat ones.

I have and currently use Philips SHP9500. Great open back headphones.

The board is cancerous 95% of the time, but go to /g/ and look for the headphone thread.

Real talk. Why so many people are trigger happy to downvote relatively good tracks?

I'm a musician myself and sometimes I post music in Reddit and I couldn't care less about upvotes (even though I do reasonably well there).

Meanwhile I have a friend who's in a pretty bad mental state and music production is one of the only mental outlets for him. While his stuff doesn't sound super polished (after all, mixing skills come with time), the arrangement shows he put his heart into the track. His last 2 tracks received quite the backlash in one of his favourite Reddit subs and now he's not as eager as he once was to share his stuff.

So the question is, why downvote something someone clearly spent multiple days working on and tweaking to his best abilities? Why not just ignore it if you didn't like it? I would like to know about it, especially if any usual downvoters respond to this

tl;dr: Why people downvote and demotivate hardworking newcomers trying stuff out and at the same time complain genre X is getting stagnant?

I didn't get this one. I listened because of the Flipper comparisons but they're just not good at all. I hated when he'll speak so softly but his voice will be so high up in the mix. It sounds so terrible. And the lyrics are literal shit, the guitar isn't interesting either I just don't know. What am I doing wrong?

Looking for party music of 3 types:

1) songs to dance to

3) songs to be drunk to (not wild drunk but sad sweet sentimental drunk)

When you give one guy complete creative control they almost always make trash.
>>
>>69717996
Idk, it's really wierd. Morrissey's first few solo albums were pretty good and on the same level as the late Smiths stuff musically and lyrically imo, but Marr has produced boring shit since he left the Smiths
>>
>>69718025
What gets me is just how bland some of his solo stuff is. Literally generic indie rock 4 chord trash.

Coming from the man who wrote How Soon is Now.
