And are rym users that much of drones to give Please Please Me and even With the Beatles fucking fives just because it's a Beatles album

might be a wasted effort but do any of you guys listen to music while you read what do you recommend?
Obviously I'd prefer something instrumental but all are welcome
Depends on what you're reading, if you're reading some edgy existential shit then maybe Godspeed or Joy Division, if you just want a good vibe I'd stick on Portishead or Massive Attack
I'm sure not everybody is like this but it is kinda hard for me to read while listening to music. The only luck I've had is reading to something real atmospheric or doesn't require too much attention to lyrics. Of course, it definitely depends on what your reading.
fishmans - long season
nick drake - pink moon
baths - obsidian
grizzly bear - yellow house
duster - stratosphere
usually my go to's
Of course it's a wasted effort. You devalue both mediums when you do stupid tryhard shit like this.
Why do people think this album is funny?

His best, shame he split with Martina desu
The most overrated album I have every listened to. And this time I really mean it. I only liked the Karmacoma remake, disliked everything else.

Believe it or not that's the song that got me into The Beatles.
I had only heard their early hits before and always just wrote them off as some dumb teeny bopper shit, so coming across a disturbingly ubeat song about a guy murdering people people with a hammer made me want to check out their other stuff.
What is with the nonstop shitposting on /mu/ today?

thats the joke faggot
Dadrock faggot here. Until recently had a dim view on electronic music, but a friend of mine convinced me to give it a shot.
I've found I'm quite taken with electro and detroit techno, like Man Parrish, Robert Hood and Jeff Mills. Where do I go from here? I don't want to be caught in a rut. What's adjacent to those genres that I can more gradually introduce house and breakbeat?
>>69727660
That's a very, very expansive topic and I'm off to bed. Have a bump though.
Have you tried any house or breakbeat? Why don't you just dive right in, I don't think they're particularly challenging (or at least, any more challenging than techno).
>>69727774
I did, I didn't get into it. Maybe it was just the examples I listened to, I dunno. House seemed way too simple and breakbeat seemed way too scattershot.
Recommendations?
