Audiophiles are retards. They are just gullible richfags who know nothing about music engineering and put their money into snake oil like golden cables and "CD frequency enhancers".
As far as I'm concerned, I use a pair of used M-Audio AV40 I've got for like 60€, and they are fine as cheap studio monitors as well as hi-fi speakers for music listening.
I use my built-in laptop soundcard because I'm not a retard and the AV40s have a pretty good integrated amp.
I just wish I had a good pair of headphones but I don't have enough money right now.

More artpunk music recs? Not necessarily post-punk but punk with thoughtful, or weird, smart boy lyrics without being corny, usually with interesting song structures/chords/production.

Like Hot Snakes, Wire, Fugazi, Wipers, etc. No Bad Religion, NOFX, Social D, warped tour/mall punk level garbage.
