Old Dirty Bastard
Please tell me what I have, there is no information online for Tiger Tail Records, Rainbow Network Corp., I cannot find another copy of this record online or who any of the songs were done by, or even the artwork on the puzzle. The signature looks either like 'Sachs' or 'Suchs' or either of those replacing the h with a k. I dug through the internet for hours trying to find any information on any of it with no success. This is my last bastion of hope /mu/. Please, help me figure it out. There is no date, the sides of the album cover are blank. I'll post all the pics I've taken of it for you guys. Thanks.
ITT: musicians you could NOT take in a fight
Anyone, I'm pretty weak t b h
How many listens per average do I have to spend on one album to be able to deduce an objective opinion?
>>70158670
>first listen
See if you like it or not. If you don't there's so much music out there that it's not worth wasting your time relistening to stuff you don't enjoy
>second listen
You'll be able to identify themes better this time, either musical or lyrical and thus have a better understanding of the album
>third listen
You'll have a pretty good idea of what to expect by now. Unless the album is particularly long or there are gaps between listens nothing should majorly suprise you as you listen. This means you can genuinely pay close attention and start to form an objective opinion. Further listens will just be refinements of this third step.
>Listened to The Bends a dozen times
"Fake Plastic Trees is one of the weaker tracks."
>Listens again and hears the huge post rock textures near the end, the fills from the two lead guitars in either headphone.
I've never been so wrong

ITT: albums normies will never understand

>the one half is trap rap
>the other one is nu-metal
yeah
>>70158643
This is the most accessible dg album except for the first 2 tracks
nice bait
Ok. Imagine you haven't heard any of Kanye's personal life or the personal lives of his family. Why would you care about this album? Because there are zero songs that don't reference himself or a lover. It is just a ego project. And I can't say I care for kanye's ego.
>>70158634
i think it sounds good
>>70158650
Ok, whats sound do you like? Except for LA and real friends.
>>70158695
most of it
Is he /ourguy/?
he's the worst kind of person and deserves every kind of shit he gets on rym
isn't he legit autistic? i never made fun of him because i assumed he was.
>>70158635
not sure. i think he might be socially awkward/autistic in that sense but not full on. he is a pretty odd person altogether though.
thoughts on this masterpiece?
i like everything about it except for the metalcore style growls
i like everything about it

Robert Wyatt thread
Why doesn't he release good music anymore?

When Alifib dies
Don't know if I'm a fan of his solo work but his story is inspiring to me as a musician with an injury.
Will love Third til the day I die though.

How you guys feel about the new Lupe and Flaming Lips? I thought they were both kind of derivative except for Made in the USA from Lupe, also
>Brian Eno
>The xx
>foxygen
>King gizzard
Keeping my own thread living
>>70158290
links for either??
Flaming Lips have always been hit or miss but the new single is terrible.
does anybody have the "then making of itaots" comic? i've been looking for a while and can't find it.
>pic unrelated
That review is misinformed and pretentious and stupid on so many levels.
>>70158285
yes it is, but that's totally unrelated to the comic
god damn, I hate rym reviewers.
Plus, that's a good album they're shit talking
Who does pure european folk that isn't influenced by blues or played on a banjo or some shit? I like Martin Carthy and tried to follow youtube links to Ewan Maccoll and his "popular Scottish songs" was being played on banjo, which is obviously not an instrument these songs were originally played on of they're old Scottish songs.
This is my favorite Carthy song so far, and I'm interested in more like it if its out there. No other folk I've heard so far has had this kind of contemplative and martial tone, but I really like it.
