Does it even matter?
Do I really need it?

Keep your fleet foxes nu-males. I'll be listen to some real shit like nu-metal
name ONE better album released in 2000 than this
That album isn't nu-metal though.
Deftones are patrician post gaze art metal. Get fucked
That is their worst album though.
To the people who like rap music - why? All songs are generic and in 4/4 tempo, it's boring and repetitive, all songs have the same cliche lyrics, the rappers are 95% assholes who just talk about hoes, clothes and sex and 5% WE WUZ KANGZ-tier "conscious rap"
>>70166176
white guilt
peer pressure
stockholm syndrome
familiarity
makes their parents upset
>>70166176
I enjoy music about thugs and killing people, I love the beats, rappers who write really good rhymes sound awesome to me.
>>70166176
I know this is a troll thread but I agree
Rap is outplayed today, every scrawny nerd and their mother is now a "producer" of generic shitty trap beats on soundcloud
hardly anyone involved in the industry is an actual musician that can play any instruments or put together a composition
Rap today is what classic rock became in the 90s - over-saturated, overly commercial, and highly unoriginal
Post your favourite album and why
Mine is "XXX" by Danny Brown. I don't know why but Danny Brown is the only artist I can listen to all his songs and enjoy, I know he's not anywhere close to legendary but I think he's style is dope
LR just because no other album in the game so perfectly mixed pop and hip-hop, to a point where it almost pisses me off that nothing's come close.
It also has this really warm and inviting atmosphere, Brion's lush instrumentation is certainly responsible for this. It's kind of beautiful.
do you follow any /mu/ related youtube channels? besides the obvious fantano.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeW6D_8Kfg--l5eLqGoEHwg - fantano's successor
https://www.youtube.com/user/ThuleanPerspective - le burzum murder man's channel
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-bcMHozenGHM1uEgxG8rMg/videos - guitarist for the gerogerigegege, now he reviews food, shoes, and guitars & guitar accessories
>>70166133
no because honestly speaking music youtubers are awful. Fantano is the only one who is even remotely decent, that's how bad they are.

What does /mu/ think of Chillwave?
>>70165768
if chillwave == trump, then I think chillwave represents a turning point in western civilization. all downhill from here boys.
at least China will roll over Russia when the time is right. better civilization desu
>>70167467
You sound foolish.
Good genre, shortlived. Anything made today under the genre of "chilwave" is primarily shit. Main standouts:
Washed Out's Life of Leisure EP and Paracosm
Toro Y Moi's Causers of This
Memory Tapes's Seek Magic
Neon Indian's Psychic Chasms
Overall my favorite genre, give it another decade or two and it'll come back.
What's /mu/'s opinion on this album?
2 good tracks.
The rest is crap.
tv sitcom music supervisors shouldn't produce funk albums
yep
>inb4 filler the zon fags
It's so raw and underproduced though.
Britney is the ultimate pleb filter. I've listened to it all - Onkyo-kei, Harsh noise walls, Powerviolence, experimental post-hardcore, Avant-Black metal, Minimalism, free improvisation - but no album gripped me more than Britney's Blackout. You might think this is a stupid joke post but it's not - All I searched in these genres was "unique" "abrasive" "experimental" or "extreme" but this, what most plebs would call a "generic pop album" was the best album of all time. The production is just marvelous, Britney doesn't need to be weird for sake of being weird, she just makes a pop album that's so relatable and amazing like no other. This is my only album that I would truly describe as perfect.
Are there any videogames with an actually good soundtrack? These days they seem to be full of 12 year old dubstep bait. Poc unrelated.
The Neverhood has an absolutely amazing soundtrack.
