Is music theory a meme or actually useful if you're looking to create music?
It doesn't hurt to know it of course, and it can improve your own compositions. That said, it shouldn't be seen as the be all and end all.
it is useful

The only way to make truly experimental music is to not know theory

Do you think this is a great album? If so, why?
I can't get into even though I've tried. Sounds like one big drawn out yawn.
Listen to it a few times before writing it off, honestly this is just one that takes a few spins to click. The whole thing has this really windy, energetic yet cool feel, like riding in a car with the roof down and feeling the wind in your hair. Great stuff, don't give up on it.
You don't have to like everything
if you did not enjoy teenage riot or candle on first listen then you will never like this album

Makes sense that my dad absolutely doesn't listen to anything but 60s and 70s.

Mike lovedingdong dies if dubs
I know Drive is considered /tv/core. But, damn, is it a good one. It had been a while since I saw it last. Totally worth it. I am tempted to consider in the rarified air of new classics because of how fucking kino it is. There's really nothing like it.

Is it foolish to delete music from your library? I've been thinking there are some albums that I'll likely never ever listen to again. Is it pointless keeping them on my hard drive even if I have the space?
>>70711790
If you don't need the space, may as well keep them. You may listen to it some day.
listen to something before you delete it
If you like it keep it.
How do you cope with the fact that Hoobastank existed?

I like it quite a bit, but i like their other albums more
Once I got past the fact that the lyrics are mostly audible, I realized that it's just as good as Heaven or Las Vegas.
is China the most significant/influential country when it comes to music??
Ru4reel
Per capita they're probably the least influential literally
>>70711574
No
>>70711604
Yeah, it's hard to be influential when the society is structured like a financial rat race.
>>70711682
And also it's relative self-imposed isolation
Bleach > In Utero > Nevermind
