Why are white guilt cucks attracted to indie rock, where as strong nationalists who get laid regularly and workout listen to Metal?
it's funny because most metal IS indie rock

She's dumpy-looking but a solid 6/10.

seriously though "sometimes I" is one of the most tedious records i've ever heard
A group of narrow minded barely 18 year olds circlejerking over chart music and surface level p4k/ fantano/ scarufficore with no actual clue about music calling themselves patricians pretending one type of popular music has more artistic merit than another
I only come here to shitpost. This board is beyond saving so I enjoy contributing to the cesspool.

>>70706365
I'm confused by what you're saying because it's really fucking stupid.
Are you saying popular music is bad? Well it's not, so go fuck yourself.
Are you saying it's bad to pretend one type of music has more merit than another? Then why did you refer to the previously mentioned group's taste as 'surface level, fantanocore' and then proceed to say that having that taste means having no clue about music? That's hypocritical, so go fuck yourself.
Are you Implying you have an 'actual clue' about music, more so than people on this board, after you separated music into two categories of valid and invalid by your own shitty standards and then ripped on people who do the exact same thing? Your opinions on music are dogshit. You waste time worrying about the validity of people's enjoyment of certain music. You probably have the furtherest from a grasp on understanding music. Please kill yourself tomorrow you useless human being and stop listening to music because music should be about perspective and you've proven your perspective on music to be redundant, useless, and God awful.

>ITT: Albums that render the rest of the discography obsolete.
>Hardmode: No greatest hits
Yeah but in theory that shouldnt count because its not their main trilogy, unplugged and In Utero is where their true sound shined
>>70706960
I guess unplugged is in a way a greatest hits album but all the versions are different because it's live and mostly acoustic so I don't count it. Stands as its own work for me

What a time to be alive. People in the 60s-90s would have killed for how much access we have to music for basically free these days.
>>70706119
It's all distraction nigga. People pre 2000s had a closer connection to their music than kids today.
For every 20 artists I listen to, I can maybe name ONE band member per artist
>normieville
that's more than sufficient enough to keep me the fuck away from spotify
>>70706169
I've never cared about who's in a band, just the music they produce. That said, I don't really like how spotify pays shit to artists.

Spiderland just doesn't come across to me as a Post Rock album at all, It sounds like a mathy post hardcore album to me. The only resemblance i can see in it being post-rock is the songs being a bit long.
Anyone else feel the same?
feel free to explain why i'm wrong.
You're completely right op. I've been saying this for years. It's noisy math rock and the only reason I can see it being labelled as post rock is the arrangements.
It's not like GY!BE post rock. This is first wave. You can hear how they influenced pands like Mogwai and Codeine. What makes it post rock are the repetitive riffs, dynamic changes, and heavy emphasis on atmoshere. At least my take on it. They don't sound like what we understand post rock to be like how Black Sabbath doesn't sound like Lamb of God. And a lot of people in the metal community don't consider Sabbath metal.
