Why haven't you listened to the new remaster of the greatest Post-Rock/Shoegaze album of all time, /mu/?
It came out yesterday and it sounds amazing. Thank the Lord that they followed through with this.
The climax halfway through "With Crippled Wings" is so massive and explosive now. The clarity of the strings now throughout "Down With The Prophets" is perfect. I could go on and on.
Plus, the cover art and such is even more absurd. :^)
Any other /mu/tants give it a listen? The whole remastered album is on YouTube and Spotify.
Here are a few links for those interested.

Don't you boys know anything? The USA is the center of JerUSAlem.

I'm pretty sure you're just the creator shilling because a few months ago you were talking about this. Anyways, this album is like a 6.5/10. There's just too many filler songs that have nothing going on in them.

Discuss.
>>70811076
those indie musicians are all shit though. indie is the most pussy genre in music history
>>70811076
indie is the genre with the least substance
Eh the article is basically "The Beach Boys had a few unpopular underproduced albums therefore Death Grips"
>get a compilation
Poseurs are too lazy to actually explore genres so they really like it when people pick out their favorites and put it in a convenient LP format for them to "listen"
>pick bad poorly-recorded music from a poor non-white countries, preferably something "groovy" or "esoteric"
Poseurs like this because it give them cred among their poseur circles such as RYM and /daily/
>Give it a colorful cover, preferably with a minority juking and jiving on it like pic related
All of this will help make their chart look good and better than everyone elses
And voilĂ ! There you have it! The ultimate poseur bait! Please feel free to say anything if I'm missing any important steps.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I caught one!
just shows you how effective the bait is
This just clicked. Went from a 3 to a 9 for me. What about you guys?
IDK it depends on my mood, first time I heard it I thought it was raw and awesome, second time I thought there was too much normie pop songs like Blood on the Leaves, and Black Skinhead... I guess it's somewhere in between, not as good as MBDTF, Late Registration, or College Dropout, comparable to Graduation, and definitely better than TLAP, Heartbreak, etc... Id give it a 6.5/10

one of my fav albums and easily my fav kanye album
such a weird album. arrived at the perfect time in my life and shook up rap for good.
I love it but no way in hell is this album "weird/experimental/revolutionarytohiphap" like some kanye fags drone about.
What really sets apart yeezus for me is the raw stupid shit kanye is screaming. Sure that doesn't sound like a good review but I feel like this album really epitomizes what kanye is at times and shows some true raw emotion inside of him rather than making music for the sake of music like some other rappers.
So /mu/ this is my first time in /mu/ after 7 months off 4chan, I made this guide as entry level for begginers in hip hop sub genres, I am not an expert, but, is it okay??
I made it for my music discuss board in Mexico, thats why it is in Spanish

Who is this, Annie Clark - St. Vincent, /mu/? Can I get a quick rundown of her?

I'LL STICK IT
DEEP INSIDE
Like the vast majority of musical releases that one considers "good" are better than this.
It's boring and straightforward as fuck. Sure it was heavy as fuck for its time, but it's weak shit compared to what exists today.
Why did so many people here get disappointed from this record? It's their rawest and most visceral record.
>>70810045
impossible expectations from extreme memetic hype
>>70810088
That...actually makes a lot of sense.
Nice dubs btw.
>>70810088
p much this. Its still cool. It may have been well recieved if it came out in 2015 perhaps. I dunno tho
This is my waifu, Loveless. Please say something nice about her.
>>70810036
What in the absolute FUCK is this? I just listened to the first "song" and it's literally a bunch of noise. It's not even different noises. It's like the same thing repeating for three minutes. I don't understand how people can enjoy this. If the whole album is like this, I don't want any part of it. This is not a "classic" album. This is fucking noise.
VVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Weezer. Think about it.
Homogenic is the best album of all time
>>70809982
only half the songs are good on it
>>70809982
It's definitely all-time top 5 for me.
Listening to Vulnicura for the first time right now. God damn later Bjork albums make me appreciate Post and Homogenic so much

that's a bad genre of music and you should feel bad
also don't try to "get" into genres, either you're into it or you're not.
fuck off

So I'm not supposed to ask for music suggestions on a music board?
