>there are still people who think frances is better than this
>there are still people who think relationship of command is better than this
>there are still people who think this isn't one of the greatest artistic achievements of the last quarter century

>there are still "people" who like mars volta

Cygnus and Cassandra alone are better than any track on Deloused I'm very sorry.
MY MY MY NAILS PEEL BACK

>>71031161
A better and harder question is who had the ugliest?
More like a glorified groupie but she has a kid with Steven Tyler
Apparently sucked a MEAN ol dick too
the dude from Duran Duran who hooked up with Elle MacPherson
I know due to the lack of culture nothing much happens here

How many of you are in bands or aspire to be in one?
I know I'm not good enough or creative enough to be in a band, but I still practice just to satisfy myself.
>>71029190
Id rather go solo
>pretty skilled producer
>know music theory, but can't play any instruments
>want to be in a band
Charts: The "I didn't discover my taste through /mu/" edition.
I know there's already a chart thread, but this one is specific. Only post itt if you were a dedicated, passionate music fan BEFORE you started browsing /mu/. By all means, your charts can have /mu/core, but I'm interested to see how one's chart might look if it wasn't JUST /mu/core. I'm a little bored of the average chart thread, and top 100's that are almost literally interchangeable.
For fun, post
>Age
>How long you've been listening to music
>Who Inspired your taste the most
Ignore the inevitable bait in a desperate attempt to keep the thread productive

>Since I can remember
>My dad was really passionate about music. A lot of my favorites are because of him, and they were favorites from a young age. Portishead, NIN, Nirvana, Tom Waits, Refused, The Doors, etc. He was kind of a dadrock snob, but he'd surprise you with some crazy shit every now and then. He and I aren't on good terms these days, but every time I get into some new music, I wonder what he'd feel about it.

>Long ass time
>My parents were really into the blues, so I grew up on a decent amount of B.B. King, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, Jimmy Reed, etc
>First album I ever bought with my own money was Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Fever To Tell when I was 10
>Tfw my love for that album hasn't changed in 9 years
>>71027287
>I got my taste through a particularly stupid middle schooler edition
>22
>since 15
>couldn't get my hands on drugs, wanted to get high, tuned into pink floyd, the rest I cant remember
what did she mean by this?
>>71025608
she meant 'I'm going to record the best pop album since The ArchAndroid and trick plebs into thinking it's bad by making the first 2 proper songs the worst on the album"
>>71025618
damn
>>71025608
>i meant to record the catchiest pop album on this planet ever made
>an album so catchy that puts beyonce and taylor to shame with their weak ass hooks
Does /mu/ like posthardcore?

ROME PLOWS! ROME PLOWS!
>>71024985
This album is hard af, I love it. I like The Shape of Punk to Come, At Action Park, Songs About Fucking... Mclusky Do Dallas is pretty fun. And Relationship of Command grew on me after I got into TMV. Leaves Turn Inside You is the only Unwound album I like. The rest of their discog bores me to tears, it's just the same song over and over again. Same with Fugazi.
>>71025708
Listen to Hot Snakes - Audit Progress too, it's the singer/guitarist and guitarists other band. the songs are more straightforward and short (a little over 2 minutes each)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Xahvg7-iJ4
METZ - METZ is solid as well

>>71024421
why would that guy need an autopsy it's p clear to me that the hooks killed him
>>71024444
Got to make it offical I suppose, even if he does look more mangled than someone shoved through a meat grinder
>>71024461
maybe it wasn't the hooks that killed him maybe he was already dead... maybe he's screaming in happiness because the hooks finally killed him since he was depressed and in pain (not from the hooks but also from the hooks)
who knows
Is Lana the only /mu/fu that actually has a decent album?
>>71024091
yes, but it's not that one
>>71024091
Lana herself doesn't even have a decent album.
Lana fucking sucks, and Bjork has several great albums. Please try again

IDK but this one makes me think about oral.
I unironically enjoy Alizee
ITT: Awful albums people pretend to like for "indie cred"
Starting off with the most obvious record that is "beloved" (see: pretending to like) by entry level teenage wannabe hipsters.
This album is pure garbage.
>awful nasally singing
>shit production (MUH LOW FIDELITY)
>asinine "deep" lyrics about literally nothing
>"eclectic" instrumentation; "singing" saws... Seriously?
The only thing worth a shit on this album is the percussion.
If you want a great "indie" album, listen to Spiderland or something. Aeroplane is fucking trash.
>>71021884
every death grips album
>>71021970
Agreed.
Death Grips is the rap equivalent of Neutral Milk Hotel.
>>71021884
>Spiderland
Speaking of awful albums people pretend to like for "indie cred"
