Thoughts?
I feel that this is one of the most interesting and abstract albums I've ever heard, loving every second of it. Also abstract music thread.
You might like Hematic Sunsets.

What exactly is "abstract" about this?
Fuck, I'm on a right binge right now and I really miss him.
Off The Wall is probably my favourite album.
Where's Dangerous 25? Where's the next post-humous album?
Self bump
Off the Wall is fucking great.
Thriller excellent, too, but not as good imo.
Could only stomach singles after Thriller, but tBh other than Man in the Mirror and Bad, none of them really seemed to stick.
Shake Your Body Down To The Ground should have been on OTW. Fits perfectly. I guess he felt obligated to share with his bros and put it on a Jacksons album.

HIStory > Bad > Off the Wall > Thriller > Dangerous > Xscape > Invincible > pre-OTW albums > Michael

James Ferraro's early music is some of the most frightening, challenging records ever put on tape. It redefined the word "trippy" I still remember falling asleep to Pans als Allgott Saturnia, 1977 and waking up to a ghost manifesting in my room haha crazy shit. Dont get me wrong HS3 is good but that early shit will always have a place my heart. Let's not forgot about Spencer Clark aka the monopoly child aka Charles Berlitz. Love those floating coconuts! Now he's on to alien flesh classical. Looking forward to the reunion BTW. Thoughts?
dude what drugs are you doing and where can I get some of that lmao

Shit album, shitter album cover
Pretty good. I have the remastered release which has some unreleased demos and I have to say that bringing in Anderson back was a good idea. The demos done by the band prior to Anderson's return sound generic and not as good as the final product.
Our Song is of my favorite Yes songs and underrated (even if it is pop).

If they changed their name after Rabin joined and this wasn't a Yes album I think people would appreciate it more. As far as AOR goes it's not bad.
How do I get started with Queen?

I'm so tired of seeing this overpriced the garbage touted as the next revolution in music making technology. Every five seconds some hipster with no musical background or talent watches a Red Means Recording video and thinks that if they drop 900 bucks on this thing that they're going to be the next fucking Gold Panda (or whatever they listen to).
Listen you fucks, I know you're out there. It won't work. After a month and the third time you've taken it to the little boutique tea cafe you go to, the novelty will wear off and you will be exactly at the point that you started at, zero musical experience and probably shitty music taste to boot. Stop kidding yourself, music takes a long ass time. No piece of gear is going to give you that time on a silver platter. Yes it's a convenient piece of gear, but it's really best in the hands of an informed and capable musician on the road. You're not a producer, you're a fucking wannabe narcissist who adopts a new persona and career every five years, or however long it takes you to get sick of the hard work that it takes to actually accomplish something great and move on to something else trendy. Why not dust off that old SLR you bought back in 2006, or go re-enroll in some of those printmaking classes you were so into a couple years ago?
Just sick of the hype surrounding this company and this gear. Not that it's a bad piece of gear, it's very well-designed, but I think it's more of a crutch to lean on for aspiring producers than something that's actually going to help their creativity and skill.

I've been extremely busy the last few years and lost my way with music a bit. I just started reading Pitchfork again to find some decent new albums but I noticed a trend of them giving "Best New Album" awards almost exclusively to black rappers. Is that genre seriously the only good music left or is Pitchfork not a reliable source of info anymore?
It's just that Pitchfork is not a reliable source of info anymore.
>>74409218
where's a better place to find accurate reviews? I'm mostly into folk, pop-folk, and technopop.

>but I noticed a trend of them giving "Best New Album" awards almost exclusively to black rappers.
this isn't true retard
fuck off to /pol/
Molly thread.
What's her virginity level?
No, let's not. Molly is a qt but she is actually in a band that makes good music, I don't to lose the ability to talk about Alvvays here just because some autists fantasize about Molly.
nayeon edition
