Anyone here still defending Arcade Fire?
Absolutely. Everything Now is their best album yet.

I hated Funeral, and thought it was one of the most boring and predictable albums ever. Decided not to listen to the rest, if that was the best they had.

Yeah but think about it like this. If your so risk averse, how are you going to take the steps and make the decisions that make a man win in life. The risks that keep the economy going, the risks that make for great stories, adventures and so forth. Every cool thing that could approach you you'll say no. And it's not just you its a large section of an entire generation. Wasting away in their cubicles counting down the time until the day of their death..

What's /mu/'s thoughts on this album?
Giving it a listen right now and I never see it discussed on here.
>>74400160
I think it's fantastic. It's been one of my most listened to albums this summer.
I like Reckoning a little better, just because the vocals are clearer. Chronic Town might be the best EP of all time though.
Probably the best album of the 80s, every song is rich with little details and some of the greatest songwriting of its time
Does /mu/ like death metal?
yeah dude

John Lennon's wife here. He beat the shit out of me.
>>74400467
The shit of John Lennon's wife here. I was beaten out of her by him.
When a woman of mine is causing trouble
Common sense is telling me
Grab the bitch by the hair
Give her the knee
And with her eye of blackness
She is whimpering and tries to plea
Asking for some mercy
I disagree
And when the broken, bloodied twat
Collapses on the floor in front of me
I smile and pull my cock out
Start to pee
I am not being facetious when I say that this album helped me believe in God.
For a long time, I was miserable, angry and lonely. It took me a few listens to get into this album and Daisy, but then it all just seemed to click. I realized this was exactly how I felt. That the Devil and God were raging inside of me. Almost all of the lyrics and sentiments they expressed, in loss, shame and ultimate need for improvement struck a chord within me.
I'm not sure if this is what Jesse wanted when he and his bandmates made this music, but it is what has happened.
Brand New didn't make me believe in God. They helped me realize I did.
Have any of you had any experiences with music influencing you?

>Have any of you had any experiences with music influencing you?
Maybe, I can't really say for sure though. With what you've said though, I'm more curious to hear your opinions on the album. Do you actually enjoy listening to it, or do you just like it because it made you realize something?
I'm gay now
