Could anyone please recommend some jazz for someone who likes music with rigid, predictable melodies and a strong beat? Some of my favourite genres are early rock 'n' roll, garage rock, classic country, and blues. The only remotely similar styles of jazz are super-early New Orleans stuff like Louis Armstrong and western swing (which is like 20% jazz at most).
Anything else, or is it a lost cause?
